He looks like he can be a good player in the association. Plays with a lot of confidence and fire.

That being said, why is he so angry all the time. And why do I find him so annoying. Why is he getting in Channing's grill all the time? He is 6'3" so he shouldn't have little man syndrome but he is acting like he does.

I will probably create another thread in general discussion about pet peeves in sports just since things are slow on the board right now and I need this to get through my day. Well not really but it helps. But Mr. Bayless committed my biggest pet peeve in sports last night.

I'm starting to not like the guy anymore, which is weird for me since I am a die hard Cat fan and alum. He is just so damn cocky and it's starting to piss me off. Anyone else, have these feelings?

He's not cocky. He plays to win. Often times this means employing the little psychological elements of the game. Call it the "Danny Ainge" mentality. Ainge was pretty well hated as a player as well.

He plays hard, he plays to win. He's a great representative for UA. We've sent too many passive players to the League. It's about time one of them looked like they gave a damn. I think that's largely the disconnect from everyone. Most were happy-go-lucky and far from intense. Bayless is a departure from that norm and many fans can't handle it.

I'm fine with Bayless being a grouse, it's just noticeable in contrast to other UA players like JMJ suggests. From all accounts I've heard though he can be prickly at times.

I feel the same way. He had this same attitude when he was here but people turned a blind eye to it. I embraced it. I'm all for supporting the players that people love to hate when they play for my team and hating them when they play for someone else's team because, for better or worse, those are the players who create a lasting impression.
