lighting, field turf, drainage, the decorative thing on the south east corner, a permanent goal post, better viewing platforms for videotaping, new equipment, and room for medical/cool off tents. definitely more than field turf.

I can't view the images right now, but regardless I am disappointed of any expenses and permanent improvements to that field. The practice facility should be behind Arizona Stadium at Bear Down Field right where the football facilities will be. UofA is giving in to the stupid politics of the Rec Center that owns the rights to bear down. Just swap facilities now, what are we going to do? build a football only facility attched to Arizona Stadium and the have players walk down the street to practice at Campbell? This is ass backwards thinking that JL used to do. Be forward thinking...the only argument that might be made is if the field is smaller than 6th and Campbell.

There isn't enough room right now behind the stadium for a good practice facility, and besides that area is under construction now and will be again when the stadium is expanded (when it won't matter whether the Rec "owns" it or not). Jimenez is fine where it is, it's not like it's on the other side of campus from the stadium ...

Are you kidding or are you serious? Bear Down Field is way too small to be the practice field. They actually increased the size of Jimenez by getting rid of the parking lot at the northwest side of Campbell and 6th. The walk to the field is right across the street from McKale and less than 300 yards from Arizona Stadium. With the new upgrades and increased size, the practice field is better than ever.
