Or maybe the title should say 2 recruits choose a different junior college. Defensive tackle Calvin Tonga and athlete Damien Williams have enrolled at Arizona Western College in Yuma.

From AZcentra (http://www.azcentral.com/sports/asu/articles/2010/07/13/20100713asu-football-calvin-tonga-damien-williams.html)l.

I've never understood why someone would want a second high school diploma anyways.

Seems like these are no-name signees for ASU. Not a big loss. At least, for ASU, they aren't losing their big guns anymore, like Bass, Bateman, & Barbour.

"He texted ASU last night,"

Pu ssy. Probably breaks up with this girlfriends the same way.

SDSU is much more selective than ASU is though regarding academic admissions, don't think it's a grade issue.

Is this one of the two they already had in the bag for next year, or is this someone else?

He changed his mind because "nothing was guaranteed"? Doesn't sound like he had a scholarship to decommit from if that was the case.

JeBron never really had an offer from asu as it was all based on whether he passed his entrance exams (SAT, ACT) and like most other Centennial players, he's waited until the last possible moment to take them. He has also failed a class or two I believe... don't quote me on that though.

Another Centennial kid with academic and grade issues, it really is sad, and getting to the point where the guidance counselors need to start doing their job and making sure these kids/athletes are getting the proper attention and will be ready to enter college without being hindered by bad study habits or just pure laziness.

I understand you cannot make a kid do homework, but at least TRY and help; give him tips to manage his time between football and academics. Time management can be taught, and can greatly affect these kids' approach with school.
