Looks like the guy that saved it going out was out before he did so, to me. I can't be bothered to try download it into some editing package (that I don't have anyway) for a slo-mo analysis, so I just did some play-pause-play-pause poor man's stop motion.

I assume this wouldn't have been a big deal if that was actually so, so yeah, crazy interception and good heads up play from guy that saved it.

RC, yea they said he jumped in air and tossed it back in play before going out....interception allowed.

Really cool play, but not to rain on your parade, that just happened in a college or NFL game this weekend, can't remember which but I remember seeing it. I've always wondered why players don't try and jump to bat a ball back in bounds in big situations.

Because they might be picked off by the opponent?

If that ball had been picked off by the offensive player, it would have been, what, a 30 yard reception maybe? So its cool for the defense that it worked, but it could have easily backfired on them.

Risk management.

Should have called time out when going out of bounds like they do in basketball. :)

Don't think it works quite that way merk :)

ZC8, it mostly had to do with the fact that it was my alma mater. We're the nobodies from nowheresville, so to make Rivals....an accomplishment.
