Wildcats v Bengals

I can't bear to see last year's title on the forum front page, so I decided it was time to draw a line in the sand, turn the page on last year, and kick off the New Year with my second ever Game Thread starting Post.

Idaho State comes to McKale on the 14 November at 17:00.

So what do the Bengals have to offer in the way of competition for the 2010 Wildcats? Well they have a bit of height for one thing.


With 7-foot center Deividas Busma returning after taking a medical redshirt, Idaho State is four-deep at power forward and two-deep at center. In the Big Sky, that represents unprecedented depth in the frontcourt.


And then there are 10 count-em 10 newcomers on the team after last years team went 7-22. Four of their players were missed by Josh Pastner's recruiting machine in Memphis and one escaped Sean Miller's clutches in Tucson.

Not likely. Exobitionitus is the likely proper diagnosis. That at Coach Miller using the opportunity to tinker with lineups and chemistry and thus fraging continuity and making the game closer than it likely would have been. Remember the wholesale "Hockey Line Change" late in the game? My guess anyway. . .

Miller stated he had to put more effort in on the defensive end. We might see him second half if this thing gets ugly, but my understanding is he's not ready to be on the floor in Miller's opinion.

BTW, Idaho State scared Colorado in an 88-80 Buffalo win Friday night. Their PG, Gilchrest, had 39. He hasn't scored.
