See, now that's what I call bringing the steak! (Or choose your own analogy, it's a good thing). Well done!

I didn't realize the alternative was even plausible but good news nonetheless.

Agree 100%
I'm more excited i think about the idea of Daxx Garman getting a little more tutoring time with Nick Foles now that he's staying. He'll have over a year and a half with the Wildcats before he has to take a snap.
This new QB we offered looks great and i hope with the Matt Scott connection we get him.

was this ever in doubt?
Foles better have come back cause leaving w/ a yr of eligibility left to be drafted in the 6th round, if at all, is just stupid.
happy about Criner but it really is a no brainer for him to come back and improve his stock. with a slow 40 time coming at the combine/pro day (whenever he comes out) the more game success he has and durability questions he squashes the better.
really a bad decision if either would have left after this yr and im not surprised they were advised to stay.

Not sold on Daxx, like Carey, I'll believe it when I see it.
Did hear CUs QB from Cali for this class is wavering with the coaching change, we offered him before, if I was Scelfo I'd get on him as well.

Nick Sherry was told to F off by the Buffs. You really like a CU reject over a guy in Garman who's a big time prospect?
And Carey is the real deal. End of story.

CU may see Sherry on the field, however, as a member of an opposing Pac-12 team. A three-star prospect, Sherry is hoping to regenerate interest from Washington and Arizona. Those two programs and others recruited Sherry before he committed to Colorado.
Sherry was offered by Arizona according to Rivals.

You realize that Sherry has the same Rivals rating as Garman, stands a few inches taller, is 30 pounds heavier, and had better offers (even though he committed early as well) than Garman? Oh, and he also played the last couple seasons, as opposed to Daxx. Throwing for 2,623 yds with 25 TDs and 6 INTs, leading his team into the California Division II playoffs? He also has no baggage (as opposed to Garman) and is a good student and doesn't sport a highlighted mop.
Look, I haven't seen either guy play, maybe you've seen both, but to dismiss Sherry and prop Garman like you did seems completely without basis.
If CU truly dumped him, they did so because Embree doesn't think he needs 2 QBs in this class and preferred the in state kid.
Lastly, Arizona has huge QB issues after next season, Huge. I'd take some over recruiting here to give me the best chance at being competitive for the 2012 season, cause without a decent QB, we won't be.
Edit to add: How much of Sherry's play do you think Embree and Bieniemy saw before they allegedly dumped him? I am betting zero to not much. And do you know that Foles was dumped/recruited over when Erickson was hired, and again at MSU when Dantonio was hired? Do you think Sherry, a guy Scelfo et. al. offered, would have been dumped if Scelfo took the position as QB coach at CU?

I dont think you can really judge Daxx by his rivals rating since he didnt play at all this year. Im sure that effected their ranking of him, along with the offers he would have received, which definitely effects his ranking.
Sherry had more offers, but none really impressive. UW was the only other BCS offer. Daxx also commited way before him. Feb is very early in the process. There is a ton that goes on from then till June (when Sherry commited). Sherry only had one offer, and that was from Sac St, when Daxx commited to us. Who knows how many more Daxx would have picked up in the next 4 months.
As for the stats, Daxx had better ones as a JR. To be fair it was probably against easier competetion though.
And what baggage? Is Daxx a bad student? Foles had quite the mop and he turned out well.
I havnt seen them either, but I do like Daxx's highlights more.
We have no clue why CU dumped him.
2 QBs is almost a must, and Sherry seems like a good get, but personally I would rather see us go hard after Michael Eubank. He seems like just as good of a passer to me, maybe even better, and is a very good athlete with great size (again, just going by highlights, and stats). He also is having a championship run as well (might even win it).

I was getting more at the propping of Daxx with simultaneous dismissing of Sherry, objective evidence would point to the two being of similar quality.
I think we know a bit about why Embree let him go, alluded to it in my post.
If Eubanks gets on board that would be fine be me.

It looked like Daxx Garman was sitting next to him at the game. He is enrolling in Janurary right?

Good news for the passing game. What the Cats need to get over the hump is a premier running game along with a stoppable defense.
