Think the guy is an outstanding human being.
Having said that, I'm really starting to tire of watching us rarely ever win a Pac series. Every year there are expectations, and except for the Jordan Brown/Trevor Crowe year....we do not meet up to them.
There is no reason that the University of Arizona should not have a powerhouse baseball program on an annual basis.
It's really starting to bother me......

Agreed - I will wait for the season to play itself out as we have played all the top teams todate.
Was hoping for a sweep of Oregon to get us in position to work our way up.

20-4 over USC tonight. Going for series sweep tomorrow.
Maybe they could loan some runs to the Lady Cats.

I will say it's been a bit frustrating to be sure, as there always seems to be so much promise, only to more often than not fall short of that. He recruits pretty well, but gambles more on talent that looks for any reason to go pro as opposed to looking for reasons to get a college education.

Cats complete the sweep over USC as they win 8-5 today. The y are now 9-9 in conference play. This was a big sweep, not only for their conference record but for their confidence.

That certainly would explain our pathetic graduation rate in the sport.

College baseball, like most college sports, is an ever changing arena when it comes to maintaining a good recruiting crop of players. Nothing's ever permanent. But maybe it's time to look at this recruiting policy more seriously. How many promising players of late have opted out of completing their college curriculum in favor of going Pro? Anyone have any numbers?
Anyone who has ever dealt with baseball players at Arizona could tell you that they are probably the dumbest group of athletes at the school.

I can only imagine how pathetic the graduation rate in baseball is in comparison to other sports in college.

I remember when I was in college I went to a party that was being hosted by baseball players. They all got drunk, acted like idiots and started picking fights with everyone. Eventually 2 fights broke out and of course the party was finished. Definitely a bunch of douche bags from my experience.

If they win four of the next six. Shouldn't be that difficult.

As a former baseball player and a UA graduate, I won't judge you too harshly. Times have changed in college athletics. However, given the set of referenced incidents involving baseball players, if they are baseball players, would indicate Coach Lopez needs to clean things up and gain some control over the players and the program. Unfortunately, if you bring in some recruits who are not disciplined and fail to adhere to the universities standards, they need to be removed from the program. Leaving them on the team will only cause further dissention and do more harm down the road.
