U of A vs. ASU in Tempe: ASU fresh off the upset of #1 Rice at their stadium returns home to throttle the kittens from down south. This game will not even be close. Enjoy your rankings while you can.

You beat Rice, congrats. Don't forget, two days earlier you lost to a school named Lamar. Where in the sam hell is Lamar anyways?

Starter Brent Bordes struck out 10 in 6 innings and the relievers struck out 5 more, for the shut-out.

Devils scored a modest 4, apparently due in large part to a solid long relief effort by Melancon (sp?). Cats starter got bombed in the first 2 innings.

In the two games I've seen the Cats play this year (finales vs. CSF and UCI), their bats were pretty active. Not so, tonight.

Keep 'em coming!

Listening to the tail end of the game on radio ("watched" the rest on Gametracker) here in Tucson, the announcers were whining about the Ump -- "calling the edges all night" and "the strike almost hit him."

Usually an Ump who calls a larger strike zone does it both ways. Did it appear consistent to you?

Our bats have cooled for some reason. We are being much more patient at the plate but that patience is starting to hurt us some. When we get guys on base they are not moving them around. We have now left 45 guys on base in the last four games, no surprise we are 0-3-1 in those games. We have also lost those games by a total of 7 runs.

ASU has played 10 games and I don't know how many exactly the UofA has played. I would not worry too much about the offense. Especially once it warmns up. As I said before I never put much stock in one game. I did not see the game just listened to 1060. Considering neither team scored for 7 innings I would suspect the umps were consistent.

I know I have to put up with childish remarks from adults if I am going to hang out here. But does anybody find it ironic that a guy named likesmikey is making swallow jokes?

sau used to just suck, but now that sau actually has academic standards, what joke even that is, and can't recruit the tree swingers you used to, sau swallows.

Where did the academic standards comment come from? You can make all the immature comments you want. I am fine with mt 2 degrees as your admin is with his one.

Back in the F Kush days getting into sau was easier than opening
a can of beer. But now that you have to actually recruit athletes who might actually be students, sau hasn't done squat in any sport other than twice in football in the last 20 years. Degrees from sau aren't worth using for toilet paper. ANMD

Don't tell that to my boss! Crap I might get fired!

So is that why you guys suck at two of the three major sports? It's because you have to recruit "students." Your players must get hungry while studying, I guess that would explain why your basketball players are stealing candy. It couldn't be that they have the munchies becuase they smoked some of Levasseur's weed or maybe it was Damon's weed (I mean he had to dispose of it somewhere after he discovered that aluminum foil sets off metal detectors). And I am guessing that the recruit that is suspected of armed robbery (you know the one Nebraska turned away) is a 4.0 biochemistry major, right?

Please don't act like you recruit Harvard students to play sports for you. It doesn't work.

Go take some Nardil and see your shrink after you let Hakim have his way with you in the back of some idiot quarterback's car who thinks his lawyer daddy is gonna get him out of a dui. Is that why you guys swallow in all 3 major sports ? sau baseball hasn't done anything in 25 years and with the recruiting base and facilities you guys have that's ridiculous. Nardil, Nardil, Nardil. Bet you thought we forgot about that.

him be? He doesn't care about his own school's issue and cares a little too much about ours and RCF's. Bottom line him and Brian are example of why this rivalry sucks.

You can try to dish it out but can't take it, huh ? I almost forgot about Show Me The Money Smith. I could care less about what a few of both of our athletes do, as long as they don't rape or kill or get caught shaving points. Oh, wait, three of your athletes have done that. As far as the Nebraska reject goes, innocent until proven guilty, neither of us knows what happened and he won't be coming to Arizona if he's guily unless it's in a jail suit. What rivalry doesn't suck, the main difference is that sau doesn't suck, they swallow.

Dishing it out in 12 yr old manner like you were? At least I try to be respectful. I can think of a lot of rivalries that don't suck. I am many good friends that are Yankee and Laker fans. I would like to be able to sit down and have a beer and talk to UofA fans without having to listen to acts like yours. Keep doing it your way and we will have to put up with people that act like you when visit each others stadiums. While always blaming each other for it.

If you are OK with innocent until proven guilt? Which ASU guys were convicted of rape?

Hakeem Hill and if rivalries don't suck they aren't a rivalry. He pled to a lesser offense but that just tells me somebody was paid off. If you don't hate somebody to the point of no return in a rivalry, then you aren't a true fan.
Being a native Tucsonian, I know, neither of us was smart enough to get out of this hell hole we call Arizona, I totally despise anybody or anything that has to do with sau or phoenix. I used to go to the football games in tempe so don't tell me about crap happening in the stands as I was in my fair share of fights up there with you worthless swallowers and I did my best to avoid it.
But being the alcholic dopers most of you illiterate idiots are I couldn't get out of them. I'm sorry but I just couldn't sit down with somebody and have a beer and talk sports knowing they were swallowers.
Not after they talk about where Steve Kerr's dad is after he'd been killed by terrorists a week earlier. Or asking Jerry Kindall where's his wife knowing she had passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease. Or asking Lute about his wife knowing she passed away from cancer. You just don't do that if you have even s*** for brains as most of you swallowers do. I'm sorry, I hate, dispise and whatever else you want to call it all and anything swallower. Booger snot yellow and bruised maroon. I am a WILDCAT, you are a swallower.

I actually could have gone out of state for school. I chose to stay here because there really is not much else that is better. The rest of the country is either too cold or humid and both suck.

Now on to the rest of your post...

Don't act like the fights don't happen in Tucson, because they do. You guys even fight amongst yourselves (see rioting after losing in basketball). Now obviously we are not illiterate, or we could not be having this "conversation" online.

I was not present at two of the three events you mention. The Kerr event most ASU fans are upset about. The Kindall event I do not know about. But, I was at the ASU-u of a basketball game and sat next to the student section. I could hear almost all that was said from the students (and I could hear everything Lute could). No one that I heard mentioned his wife (the only mention was in the school paper, it was made by one idiot and MANY ASU fans complained about it).

Finally, I guess the fact that you are a native "Tucsonian" would mean that you are an expert on sucking and swallowing so I will have to let you have your fun with that.

So you are going by innocent until proven guilty. However if they are charged with something and aren't convicted but plead down there are still guilty even though its not proven. So if Smith pleads out he is guilty of the crime he is charged with now?

Just sad commentary on how some fans on both sides seem to think its Ok to act. You don't know anything about me or why I came to Arizona but I don't think you are I live in hell

We don't fight amongst ourselves, the rioting was done by a bunch of drunken blithering idiots and if the police here would have been prepared none of it would have happened and millions of dollars wouldn't have lost in lawsuits. I haven't been to football game since Tomey's 3rd year here so I don't know about fights in the stands involving sau people. If there are any they are probably started by you swallowers. As far as the expertise in sucking and swallowing, yes, my wife and all past women in my life are experts at it. Thank you very much, I do have fun with it, I taught them well.
You on the other hand obviously have swallowed too much of Sparky. I had the chance to get out of this hell hole after college to further pursue my education and eventually my business. For 7 months out of the year both Tucson and phoenix are hell holes, literally. Finally, if he does plead down to a lesser charge and I don't see how if what I read is true, he will not be coming here. From my understanding he was offered only if he is found innocent. Later, swallowers.

So do you live in AZ or not... One post says you are a native of Tucson and not smart enough to get out of this "hell hole" and other says you were smart enough to get out and start a business. Which is it?

You don't fight amongst yourselves?? "Blithering idiots"?? Where did these blithering idiots come from? They were in Tucson, and since there are not many cities around Sucton, I am guessing that they are from there or go to school there. This would lead one to believe that you guys were rioting with yourselves (and by the way, a couple of u of a students were shot with rubber bullets, this means that they were in the riot).

Lamar is in Beaumont, Tx and has a better than average baseball
team. They are capable of upsetting top 20 teams. The school probably has more students than Long Beach.

If I confused you there. I left out that I didn't take the chance and stayed here to start my business. If you need to know, I retired at 50 and live quite comfortably in my foothills home. Yeah we rioted after the NC game loss and after the NC win. But the only people hurt were by the police, not by each other. And guess where a lot of our students are from, phoenass. If Dumbpee is ever in a NC game or actually win a NC like we have, then let's see what happens in Dumbpee. We both know that will never happen, don't we. Later, Swallower
