They'll be at or near the top all season. The bully is set now as everyone is pitching well. Their rotation, which was a strength, is getting worrisome. Obviously the Peavy injury really hurts them, but if Tankersley can keep it up, they should be ok. I thought they'd add a bat with the extra Petco revenue, and Xavier Nady, but it's looking like another SP might be the order.

Don't look now, but a team from the Bay has won 10 straight and is closing in on first place yet again. And that guy Bonds is on one of his tears again, too.

You can give Bonds all the credit you want, be the real reason that the Giants are on a streak is Damon Minor. The division is utterly winnable, but I have a hard time seeing the Giants hanging in there all the way, and moreso than the Dodgers or Pads, there season hinges on one player. Even if he is superhuman, he's still a 40 yr. old superhuman.

Oops! Looks like the Puds and the Gnats are falling back a bit from LA. It doesn't matter though as this race will go down to the wire for all three teams involved.
