The Wildcats were behind big against Maine late in game one of the 1986 College World Series and eventually won on Dave Shermet's home run. This comeback brought back memories of that game and who knows, maybe it's karma.

It is kinda like 1986 all over again. That team wasn't supposed to do anything at all but they came back and took the title from FSU.

That 1986 team never gave up. I wonder whatever happened to guys like Trafton, Senne, Strong, Shermet, Johnson and Rhode. I think Heredia is coaching with the A's organization.

I went to the game last night in Long Beach. Wow what a game. I was sitting next to the closer from the 86 team. Can you name him? Hint: he got a win and 2 saves in the 86 CWS.

I actually worked with Mike Senne for awhile. Five years ago I worked with him at one of the Beaudry Car Dealerships in Tucson. Prior to that I believed he worked as a social worker for awhile.

That name escapes me but was his last name Bradford or Johnson. I think he was a JC transfer and if not mistaken was a decent hitter.

If I'm not mistaken, we'll have last at-bats tonight. That's going to be a good advantage.

It was so cool to watch last night and hear the U of A chant just as much as the lame Let's Go State chant.

I would personally vote for the Dave Shermet homer as the most exciting Wildcat moment ever.

I have a major league game-used Gil Heredia bat from when he played for the Expos. Given to me (or rather left at my house) by former Wildcat Ernie Durazo.
