obviously they dont really care who the last 8 standing teams were. After going 1-2 IN OMAHA, the Cats actually fell from 8 to 12 in the final poll. Yeah, that is the right thing to do.
The Cats were rightfully ranked #6 in the final Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll.
The Final Coaches poll is not out yet.

Im not here to piss anyone off...
We werent a top 10 baseball team this year. Our bullpen was weak, and we only had 3 starters worth a dang. Our defense was shady when it counted as well.
We were one of the worst 64 teams to even get into the tourney... just because they got hot and won a few games in a row when they counted doesnt make em tops in the nation.
I think 12 is very generous, just my 2 cents...

There aren't very many schools that played as hard as the Cats did this year. They were an extremely young baseball team and lost 3 of it's starting pitchers just before school started. Two to the pros and one to injury. I think they did pretty darn good considering those facts alone and with all the pitching recruits coming in this year I can honestly say that for the first time in 20 years I can't wait for next season.

Oh I dont disagree with you at all, I loved watching our team.
I was just trying to make the point that talentwise, I dont think we were a top 10 team this year, and I think 12 is a just and deserved ranking... after all, we lost what?? 23 or 24 games this year?? Im looking forward to next year as much as anyone, and I will support the team, but looking badly at a #12 ranking?? I dont.
