For God's sake--Andrea Joyce, (and I'm paraphrasing here), "Carly, you looked kind of bad out there tonight. How does it feel to have cost your team a Gold Medal?"

Honestly, it's not like these 16 year old girls don't already have insane and unreasonable physical and emotional stress heaped on them or have to bear the pressure of an entire country watching them. I'm surprised we don't have more Jim Rome/Jim Everett episodes.

Michael Phelps powered to a gold, was interviewed by a (female reporter) a genious who said "Now go rest up for your next event, you'll need the energy", where yhe main commentators cued back in with "there you have it, Phelps has now received expert advice."

Thank G-d for that, I have it on good authority that Phelps was planning to tie both arms to his left foot and do one-foot hopperslappers all the way to Krakow and back....

Gawd I hate stupidity.
