Last report of the season.

WOW what a game !!!!

First off met azpatnca before the game at my tailgate. Very cool guy. I think more of us in the area should hook up before a game.

The crowd. "A" It a rival game so the crowd was hot. Thank goodness very few A.S.U. fans around me. I wasn’t in the mood for crap talk. I was just so into the game. Crazy intense you could say. Kids filed in California late but stadium was full by mid 2nd quarter. Fans rushing on the field. Uof A Players dancing on our “A”. No fights or chairs thrown on the field. Let’s make the crowd grade an “A+”

The offense “A-” Want to give them an “A”. The two turnovers by R Kovalcheck . The A.S.U. safeties were playing within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. I felt a big run would happen and it did for Bell. We slipped a lot on running plays. Passing R Kovalcheck 3 TD’s with two of them over 45 yards. The TD slant pass to Jefferson was AWSOME. His INT was bad throwing in the middle of the field. His fumble was worse but he came back strong. Starting in the mid 2nd quarter we began to pick up the blitz much better.

The defense “A”. The bad. A.S.U. total net yards 501. Passing 399. A.S.U. is a good team. Lets not forget that. But the 5 forced turnovers. The fumble by H Hill was huge. We tackled well. I think on defense that has been our greatest improvement from year last. S Keller was a freaking horse. We needed tranquilizers did get him down.

Special teams- “B” Folks 53 yarder had room for at least 5 more yards. Coverage on special teams was poor. We do need improvement in this area.

The coaches “A”. Had the kids ready. We were at a proper emotional level all game. We still need to get plays in faster. The lack of TO’s in the first half was inexcusable. Players played over the top hard for a 2-8 team thats a great sign.

Summary - I am in the mood to gave inflated grades tonight. Think Stanford. A great way to go into the off season. Stoops has much recruiting work to do. But for tonight lets enjoy a big upset victory over A.S.U.

side note:

This is the first game I made no predictions. Maybe I'll stick to that.
I am posting this first then I will begin to read football game threads .

If we win B-Ball tonight Santa is not coming to Tucson b/c all our wishes will be used up.

I hope you had a designated driver. ;) My roommate is pretty disappointed but I'm quite pleased. It was a great game.

I agree the game was KICK A$$. Over in Section 109 we were all going freakin nuts. There were a couple of ASWHO jacka$$es that were talking a whole lot of smack at kickoff, but left very, very quiet (with thier pitchforks between their legs).

Here is to BEARING DOWN ON NEXT SEASON!!!!

It was great to hookup with class of 1990. It was an amazing ball game. Everyone was as pumped as me, for a change. It was awesome. There were some fine ass hotties from ASU next to me, and my wife and her fam on the other side. It was a ton of fun cheering back and forth with those girls, and even better since we won. The only bummer was that my father had purchases season tickets to support the team, and because he's never been to an asu/ua game despite living his entire life here. With season tix he was guranteed a ticket to the game even if we got hot under stoops and sold out. He was called in to work yesterday for some bull crap and didn't get to go to the game. But he says that's why they won, if we would have gone it would have been a loss, and he'll take one for the team. So was can all thank my dad. That, and I think me and class of 1990 have to keep up the tradition, UA is 1-0 in games where class of 1990 and azpatnca have had a beer together before the game.

Cheers to azpatnca  Superstitious just like me.

I didn't have my A.S.U. co worker with me. I don't think he is ever coming to a football game with me ever again. LOL
