ASU is melting down.

My first thought was that he saw some stiff competition in Keller. But he will have the same if not worse at UM. Too bad UA isn't in the picture, no competition here.
And if Forcier spent a few days in the summer in ASU, he might not think the weather in Michigan is that bad. For a few days, snow is awfully pretty.

Forcier is not a 4-star QB. If he was that good, 'SC or UCLA would've offered him.
Keller has a cannon for an arm, and really good poise from what I've seen this year and last. No one is going to come in there and take that job from him anyways, and I don't think ASU is going to have any problems getting talented QB's to come play in that system.

Scout rankings for QBs = 4 stars (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=9&c=4&pid=10)
Rivals Profile = 3 stars (http://arizona.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=27876)
It might be instructive to note that he attends the same high school that Richard Kovalcheck attended -- and achieved a 4 star rating at. My friend (who coaches HS football in the area) says RK was a "system" QB . . . the system they play in creates the numbers more the individual talent of the player.
