Whittingham To Utah...

Utah will call a press conference announcing that Kyle Whittingham has accepted the job at Utah to replace Urban Meyer.

It looks like BYU got "Notre Dame'd" on this one, as they were sure that Whittingham was their guy. Over the last twelve hours, there was something strange going on when KW didn't call Holmoe back to accept the BYU job. Both schools were saying that KW accepted the respected job last night.

BYU just better hope they have another option under their belt. They might need to try and mend the fence with Chow...

Who wants the BYU job anyway? They need to go to Mesa, Arizona to find a good quality coach who is LDS. Smart choice to take the Utah job. IMO a better place to draw recruits.

He may have Chow's endorsement, but does he have Lavell's?

If they hire Reynolds, they may be going through the HC search again in three years. I don't know how good he is.

You're forgetting the Tongan influence. I knew lots of Mormons from Tonga, those guys are HUGE. They make excellent football players.

Not to mention the great BYU quarterback tradition.
