I think all sports polls should be public picking.
Picks and predictions are welcomed here.
Atlanta
Philadelphia
Philly -5.0 very early line. 42 o/u.

Atlanta...no reason other than they impressed me and Philly didn't.

Philadelphia, why? Because the bills will be the only team to choke 4 times (or was it three?).
Mcnabb vs Vick is going to be awesome, but Atlanta I think used up all it's scoring opportunities against the rams. But what do I know. Plus, the way the announcers kept going on and ON about how philly didn't get breaks in the last three years, and now they are.

Bison what are you thinking? This is the game that Philly is destined to lose. At least this time they have the whol T.O. was injured excuse going for them. Alanta is a far better team then the Viks, and Philly had trouble with them. The Falcons are peaking at just the right time, and are on there way to the SB while Philly is left to be the sight of the biggest mass suicide ever.
its just hilarious watching some teams try to focus so hard on vick, and then guys like dunn and duckett rush for like 250 combined.
and at the same time vick runs for like 50.
i hope falcons win this game

I hope the Falcons win, but Freddie Mitchell of the Eagles cracked me up during PTI's five good minutes. The guy is TO without the annoying swagger. He's easily my new favorite player in the NFL.
If ya caught it, ya know what I'm talking about. If not, ya missed it.
He stole the show.

This game to pick is very difficult for me to pick.
I hate PHILLY. Right there behind Dallas. But the question I posed is who do you think will win and why.
I'm going with Philly.
I think the snow and/or cold may limit the Falcons from opening it up. I know they ran for 300 plus yards but that was St. Louis. Philly will aggressively have run blitz packages as well as pass blitzes. Atlanta has to play error free while Philly at home doesn't. Vick has to make plays and I don't think he will.
Philly can run with Westbrook(sp). McNabb must keep his passes from sailing on him which he often has happen to him at inappropriate times.
I feel Philly is the Red Sox of the NFL. Its a feeling but I really hope I am wrong. I'll be rooting for Atlanta.
Go Falcons.

I dont know if you saw the whole game but Philly certainly did not struggle with the Vikings. In fact they beat them rather comfortably while making Culpepper and the Viking offense look bad. Johnson is one of the best D coordinators in the league and will help solidify that status when they beat Atlanta. The main reason I see Atlanta losing is the weather. It will be very difficult for Vick to run for the yardage on grass and in the snow. I see a low scoring game with the Eagles winning by 10 points. I do think that the Falcons are peaking but I feel that the Eagles defensive game plan will be enough to win the game (of course they will execute it also)

The Eagles didn't prove anything though. They won comfortably, but should have won like the Falcons, by simply blowing the other team out...instead, they dicked around and turned the ball over. They allowed some longer drives that ultimately ended in a turnover, but the drives were still impressive against Philly's defense.
I still like the Falcons. They have the running game and the defense.

N.F.L. fans.
Weather not so bad (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=531&ncid=531&e=3&u=/ap/20050121/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_conference_championships_weather)
Philly = Red Sox
or
Philly = Bills (4 out of 4 chances)

It's going to be frigid cold and windy in Philly. Atlanta is going to struggle bigtime with the weather conditions.
I like the homefield advantage for Philly in this one.

Atlanta, defense=push, superior running game.
Philadelphia, defense-push, superior passing game.
If the weather is as bad as some report, Atlanta, for style of play, will have the advantage. Dome-team, schmome team...They won at Lambeau years earlier.
They run...the best weapon in bad conditions.
The worse the weather, the better Atlanta looks to me.

Congrats on the pick TopCat...hell of a call. That Philly defense was dominant.
It wasn't the weather though. Although the wind made passing an adventure.
Philly's defense definitely did it. You can't have a one dimensional offense against their defense. You have to be able to stretch the field. Philly played with 10 guys on the line of scrimage all day.
For the future though, the combination of Vick and Dunn will be exciting to watch. Half my family went to Va Tech so Vick's a real favorite around here.
