Got this post from the UofASports.com site. I wonder if this guy is telling the truth? Does anyone here work inside the athletic department to know if this is correct? Here is the post:

IMPORTANT--UA FOOTBALL Reply

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For everyone out there who thinks they know what they are talking about, I want to help clear some things up for you from the standpoint of someone (me) who works with the football team, coaches, and bigwigs in football at UofA. I know these guys on a personal and professional level and hope that what I say can help you get a little insight on the inside of UA Football right now. First things first, this has nothing to do with our record!! Coach Mackovic needs to be fired because of many other reasons, not including the team performance/record this season. He continually belittles the men of the Wildcat football team, including the assistant coaches. Our injuries are due to an over worked team--just ask the strength and conditioning coach who is forced to work them according to Mackovic's schedule, wants and demands. As stated numerous times by people who know, Mackovic works these guys so hard each week that it is equivalent to playing 3 full games a week. What I don't know is if Mackovic is breaking any compliance rules regarding amount of practice time allowed and I would love to find that out. The guys practiced from 12pm to 7pm on their Veteran's Day "off". When guys miss a catch, Mackovic tells them that they are a disgrace to their family. When suspending a guy on the team for missing a meeting that was moved up (and the player didn't know because he has been out due to injury) and then saying that you cannot release why the player was suspended, causing unnecessary speculations from outsiders, is wrong. A little more about injuries… ask coach Mackovic why Jarvie Worcester was out playing with an arm that isn't completely healed, why Brandon Phillips was forced to play on a knee that is still healing and why Gainus Scott was out there not fully recovered from his injury either. He has the final say of who goes out there to play, not the strength coach, not the player and not their parents. I am so sick of everyone saying the parents are too concerned for "Their little Timmy", when they have more insight to what their sons are put through daily then you could ever know. Overall, I get to see and hear what these players, assistant coaches and parents are put through by the arrogant Coach John Mackovic on a daily basis. I hope that knowing there is more behind the “hating of Coach Mackovic” than just this season’s record will change some of your view points on going another season with Mackovic as head coach. There are players and key employees who don’t even want to play another game under him. Personally, I feel the only chance we have against ASU is if these guys and the assistant coaches, coach themselves. Peter Likins is the main link to getting anything accomplished and his number is 520-621-5511. If you are a true Wildcat Fan, especially you parents (because I know your concerns are legit), give him a call and let him know you back the cats in getting rid of Coach Mackovic!!

This is real live stuff, its happening, regardless of what happens, this did happen. I've always admired your post, but you seem almost hesitant to believe the truth.

If one pearson says something their lying, if two people say something their ganging up on the pearson, if three people say something............maybe, just maybe its the truth.

I appreciate your opinion, but I am sorry, when the information comes from Internet posts (no matter how many) and from people I do not know, I take it with a LARGE grain of salt. I guess I have been burned in the past by this form of media so I am cautious.

That being said, the **** has hit the fan and we now need to pick ourselves up and move on. *****ing about our situation will not make it go away or make it better. As sad as it is, what is done is done. We either move on or we regress. I for one do not want worse than today, so I chose to move on.

Overalll, what I am trying to say is that I am fed up with the knee jerk reactionaries in the world who think they know every angle of every situation.

There I finally said it. Man do I feel better. Not. ;)
