then he should be gone. If he is gone, I do think it would be wise to do it before the year is up and to find a new head coach by December 1st. Mike Stoops is at the top of my list.

This is just amazing to me. If all this stuff turns out, I'll be eating some humble pie. That's what I get for trying to defend Mackovic. :)

That was the nice thing about Tomey, you could defend Tomey anytime anyone said anything bad about him, and you would be right most of the time. "Well, at least he's a nice guy!"

One thing I'd like to know about the situation is if Livengood was involved. The news flash talks about the players meeting with Likens, but makes no mention of the AD...if Livengood knew this all was going down and didn't do anything, the UA Athletics department could be in for some major surprises.

Basically, it says there was a meeting and Likins was there to "encourage" the team. It has an interview with Clay Hardt that said he didn't want to go into detail, and that all the other players declined interview, and referred to the players noting a change of style from Tomey to Mackovic.

Translation: I want to tell you all that this meeting was about getting rid of Mackovic, but I can't for legal purposes.
