Hey everybody, on Tuesday (15-Feb-05) the Devils come to town to take on our 'BatCats'. What say we all come out show the Devils that Wildcat baseball is alive an well.

God,... how I hate those 'Scummies!'

I'm surprised Lopez gave the ball to Meloan on Saturday after the rainout. Does that mean Rierson starts tomorrow?

4pm.

Man, i wish i was in Toos for the team this year!

Saw the UCSB/Pepperdine games over last weekend. SB took 2 of 3. Great games. We got kicked out of the game up in SB for hecklin' too much out in left field. Pepp players/coaches are pvssies! Wouldn't start the game until we left the umps told us.

Go Cats!

is there a final? I heard UA made a comeback and tied it up. This ASU team isn't very good.

Like I said in October, these two teams are mirror images of each other. They should both finish in the top four of the league with UW and Stanford being a little better than both, IMO. Both teams will have no problems scoring runs but the pitching leaves something to be desired. They are both certainly tourney teams, and contenders to go to Omaha, but they'll need members of their respective rotations to step up for that to happen.

If Rierson can get back to his old form he will only make the starting rotation better. UofA's offense is more powerful. ASU will manufacture runs more than they will by going deep. Also, the Devils defense so far has been atrocious.

I was at the game and Crowe did not get caught stealing no matter what the stat line says. This was an absolutely atrocious call and made worse by the fact that Crowe would have scored on the next hit and tied the game. Oh well though, Jordan Brown's home run makes it all moot.

It looked like a couple of the players had some "kind" words for the umps and asu after the game. I hope next time they can keep it under 5 hours, but that was an absolutely awesome game.

yeah thats what they said on the radio, "atrocious call" may have been used. I was pretty distraught that we had to leave, missed a rediculous ending

Even the ASU announcers up in Phoenix said he looked safe...and that's saying a lot because they are the 2 biggest ASU homers I've ever heard.

I can't wait until those Longhorns come to town. To see how we measure up against the big boys. Hopefully the weather will be great so fans will show up for a great series.

Not only that, but the ASU fans there were so pissed. They were starting to yell stuff back after the missed call on Crowe (which looked like it would end the game). I surprised the mini skirmish on the field didnt instigate something in the stands.

On the game note, It's always nice to have scoreboard on your rival in all the "big three" sports.

I was at Sancet yesterday also....it was nice to see a fairly decent crowd... the newspaper said it was the largest crowd of the year so far.

I had to leave in the 6th, because the ol' ball n' chain was getting cold, but atleast she went. We were sitting on the 3rd base side, and yes, Devil fans and Wildcat fans were getting a little "chipy" with each other...It was great !!
