First I want to link an earlier thread. Goazcats were in the house.

Bat Cats Beat ASU! (http://forum.goazcats.com/showthread.php?t=27319)

First U of A baseball game I have ever seen live. Here is a "section 21 style report" old school for the football crowd.

My son and I got there minutes before national anthem. We got the hotdogs, soda and pretzels. Sat on first base side just a little a right of first base 4 rows up. I think it was festival seating. No ushers really. The announced crowd after the game was 1700. I don't know about that.

Crowd B. It is quiet at times to hear the 1st base coach talk to a runner at first. But the quiet is cool. There was a section of kids wearing U of A red shirts with a home plate logo on them who were freaking funny at times. ASU has alot of players with funny first names. Rocky, TY, Colin pronounced "Colon" the kids were having good loud clean fun. They said nothing offensive. I had my 7 year old with me. A Murphy Sucks sign lasted about an inning plus until they had it taken away. LOL. Alot of people left after the 6th inning. Kinda strange. I think we were up 8-2.

Team A. We are a very strong hitting team. 17 hits I believe. 3 or 4 homers and a triple with awarded base to home (throw in the dugout) with two on in the 8th. Our pitchers must have had at least 7-9 KO's. Only problem tonight was two innings in a row made bad base running decisions to end each inning.

Overall. B+. Alot of pitching changes kinda made the game a little longer then it should have been. ASU mostly. I would guess 7 or 8 pitchers.
U of A 4 or 5 pitchers. The action was solid. We had 5 deep outs to the warning track. The wind was blowing out. ASU 1B had to consectitive AB that were homers. Beating ASU in any sport is fun. Was freaking cold towards the end though.

Sat next to Ryan Radtke from 1290 am from the bottom of the 8th until the end. He is pretty cool guy. He really loves this baseball team.

I'm seriously thinking about the Texas series coming up March 4-6 and going on to one of those games.

Good write-up. The wind was really cold but I still love the crowd of hot girls that show up for baseball games, including Jenny Finch who was there for a few innings with her husband (fiance?).

The baserunning mistakes were really bad and surprising to me- and especially bad because it looked like both times the runners could have made it to third if they hadn't hesitated.

I'll definitely be out for the Texas games.

I will attest to the cold, I was freezing by the end. And I will definitely be out there for the Texas games. We came away with a foul ball so that was semi entertaining. Hope your kid had a good time Class of.

Thanks for the update Class!
I was trying to make the trip up from Nogo yesterday, but I couldn’t get out of the office on time. Had to follow the game on that live stats deal.
Definitely going to try to make it to the games against Texas though. Should be a good test for us.

I remember going to the games as a kid and I loved them.. its hard not to have fun if you are a kid who digs baseball. my pops caught a ball from Terry Francona way back in the day, my friends and I were dumb enough to use it and eventually lose it, my pops was none to happy.
