I hope Mackovic will be the coach next year because he needs a chance to play with his players. The question I have is if the Wildcats lose their final two games could he be fired?

Wade et al - he's not gonna win with anyone. That argument is ridiculous.

Qwencher-
Will any of those guys play on the next level?
Most don't have the size to compete in the NFL.
Maybe Wade, but he is undersized also.
Tell me which guys on this team are going to be starting in the NFL in 3 years.
Every other team In the PAC-10 has NFL starter caliber players on their roster.
So, I find your statement irrational.
I doubt this team could win the Big Sky Conference.

He's done after the season. He escaped today, but this kind of player-coach antomosity can't last. It has already been established that he is not a player's coach, to say the least. This "uprising" by the players is an embarassment for the program and athletic department, and it cant linger into next year.

Are you telling me that Clarence Farmer, who led the PAC-10 in rushing last season won't play in the NFL? Anyone who leads the league in rushing will definately get drafted and he'll be back next year, bigger and stronger (unless, ofcourse he transfers).
Briggs is a projected 1st round pick by nearly everyone - so is Jolivette and he's a sophomore.
Yes our lines are puny and unfortunately, I agree that Wade is simply too short to play in the NFL.
This team has as much talent as any in the bottom 1/2 of the PAC-10, it's the rotten attitude our coach has that prevents us from winning a couple.

Ruben Droughns doesn't start in the NFL. I think he led the PAC-10 also.
I said Starters, not role players.
I am most amazed at the amount of quality NFL talent that was on our holiday bowl team. WoW!
Plus football is a team sport, 4 great players doesn't make up for 18 sub par players.

What kind of recruits do you think Mack will be able to lure to Tucson now? If you think we have subpar athletes now, I can't wait to see what kind of players we get commitments from over the next 2 years.
