1. He is not paid among the top 10 in receivers
2. While a Contract was signed, in the NFL the team has the ability to cut a player at any time. The contracts are not guaranteed, so after T.O.'s best season it is natural that he will want a bonus on that because he was a legit MVP candidate until he got hurt.
3. He has a new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and for his agent to make any money he must get T.O. a new contract. The rules state that the agent get paid for as long as the player is making money on a contract you negotiated. Therefore, Drew doesn't make any money off T.O.'s current deal and T.O.'s former agent is still getting paid his 3%.
I really think #3 is the reason T.O. is asking for a new contract, maybe T.O. doesn't realize it but Rosenhaus wants to get paid, therefore T.O. needs a raise.
