The Indians gave the No. 14 overall selection in the June draft a signing bonus estimated at about $1.65 million Tuesday to sign his first professional contract. He will report to short-season Class A Mahoning Valley today.

Rotoworld said they might switch him to 2B.

Yeah, so does this article. I guess they think he's athletic enough (and he surely is) to do it. The more positions you can play in minors, the better, I suppose.

Better to start at that end of the defensive spectrum than to start at a corner and have nowhere to go.

Nice chunk of change for a scraggly haired dude from the UA. Now he can afford to get a hat that doesn't have a sweat ring stain.

Jordan Brown got $300,000 as a fourth round pick also by Cleveland.
They have been both assigned to Class A- Mahoning Valley.

Here's a great quote from Crowe:
And when the Indians offered him a signing bonus of nearly $1.7 million, he signed almost immediately.
"I've always been the guy when I was younger to say, 'Man, I can't believe that guy is holding out for so much money,' " Crowe said. "Why sit out for a couple of more extra thousand when I could get 300 or 400 more at-bats?"
