Why thank you I too hope that it will be fun to watch Brandon audition for the NBA.
You can't be serious can you? what is the whole point of going to college? To audition for the NBA, every single decent college player has one thing on their minds make it to the NBA. Sure there are some that want a degree but if were talking Mcdonalds all americans there all at college to audition for the NBA stating otherwise is idiotic.
JP Prince is at UofA to audition for the NBA wouldn't you say? Okay well you should of gotten the point by now your baseless attempt at trying to pass off on Rush just backfired.

Rush is a different story, the guy is a mercenary who wanted very badly to go straight to the L. His whole goal will be not to win games or a National Championship, it will be to get to the NBA ASAP no matter what. With the talent that KU has, Rush going "Iggy or Dajuan Wagner" on your team is a trainwreck waiting to happen. His teammates will enjoy his 1 v. 5 playground game. Just wait till he starts taking ill-advised shots and plays out of the system. And asking Rush to play defense? Right....Good luck.
Prince is here to improve so that he can one day make the NBA, Rush thinks he is a NBA player RIGHT NOW. Big difference, you should know this.
If you think he is going to come in and do what Carmelo did you have another thing coming. The good thing about that Syracuse team is that they had very efficient role players that allowed Anthony to do whatever he wanted. There are too many stars, or players who think they should be, at KU for this to work. Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians. The transfer train will be leaving Lawrence again after this season. http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/9606/toilet1uy.gif (http://imageshack.us)

Mcdonalds all americans
Huh?
Shouldn't it be McDonalds All-Americans?
I believe so, since that's the proper way to spell the franchise and since it's an honor staus, one must capitalize the honor's title.
If you're going to point out the mistakes and typos in others posts, best start by checking your own.
BTW, it's different with most college kids than it is with Rush. He'll be looking to make a name for himself immediately. He's playing for himself, not for the University. He'll be showcasing his skills on a nightly bases, not playing to win.
Arizona has first-hand experience with this. Iguodala unintentionally did this mid-way through 03-04 and it killed the 'cats season, REAL FAST LIKE.
You hae four great prospects. All four have NBA potential and your three wings all at least flirted with the notion of going straight to the NBA.
They didn't, so it's great to have them, but if they play for themselves, your visions of grandeur will turn into a nightmare.

Yes we lost to Bucknell, but the national champion lost to Santa Clara So whatever. Real original but keep saying it it doesn't bug me, and for your information Bucknell is ranked top 50 this season and will once again field quite a team that could upset some teams.
You do realize Bucknell beat Pitt @ Pitt? Almost beat Wisconsin in the tourney, beat KU as you noted. The fact of the matter is Bucknell deserves the credit they did and will have one hell of team to be facing come March in terms of being able to upset someone.
Your not being fair Langford was worthless with the Flu and an injury, Aaron Miles played the worst game of his life and JR Giddens did what he does best throw up bricks. How were we supposed to win with Simien and Lee putting the team on their backs, they had no help. There is no excuse but the odds were stacked against KU in terms of player effectivness, injury's and a team that thought they could turn it on whenever they wanted. Which added up to one loss to Bucknell.
I still don't understand why you keep saying Bucknell though, it was one game. In my opinion losing to Rhode Island stung even more, and I really don't think you can talk when it comes to first round exits.

He would have gone to Indiana but instead they picked up a random Euro nobody has ever heard of..take that for what it is worth..
This simply does not happen. Not in late August.
Players as large, as athletic, and as academically gifted as Cem Dinc do not drop from the sky on Aug. 24 and land in a college basketball coach's lap.
But that's what happened to Indiana on Wednesday. Dinc, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound small forward of Turkish-German descent, told CBS SportsLine.com he has given the Hoosiers a verbal commitment. Dinc expects to be eligible for Indiana this season, and he expects Indiana to be good -- very good.
"We want to compete for the Big Ten championship," Dinc said. "With the team we have, I think we will."
The addition of Dinc likely means Indiana will withdraw from the Brandon Rush sweepstakes. Rush might even have chosen the Hoosiers, considering the NCAA Clearinghouse is taking its time with his plea for eligibility and classes are under way at his other top choice, Kansas.
As it stands now, Rush's choices could be down to Illinois, Southern California or a prep school like IMG.
Meanwhile, Dinc said IU coach Mike Davis has promised him a shot at small forward in what could be a loaded IU frontcourt with sophomore D.J. White (6-9, 230) and senior Marco Killingsworth (6-7, 265).
Dinc is a dying breed -- an unknown recruit about to play at the highest level of college basketball.
"I've never seen him play, and I don't know anyone who has," says venerable recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons. "In this day and age of information, who's seen this kid play?"
Hardly anyone in this country. Dinc spent just a few months last fall at Brewster (N.H.) Academy, where he left in November with a broken finger. Dinc said he returned to Germany and work out with his father, a former world-class hurdler. His speed for 100 meters, Dinc said, is 10.8 seconds.
"I played a lot with the Turkish national team, with guys like Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic and Mehmet Okur of the Utah Jazz," Dinc said. "Hedo was the point guard, and I played the two or the three, and Okur was the four. In terms of ability, I didn't see a lot of difference between us.
"I'm not very (well known) in this country, and that's OK. People will see me this season at Indiana. They will see what I can do."

I can't wait to see crazy man Downs senior screaming that his son is playing behind Rush. Kansas fans have no idea what they are in for, Padgett with an exponent.
Is is really the greatest recruiting class when three of them all play the same position? I know people can move around (especially Julian), but Downs is behind Rush now. That doesn't exactly fit into Downs NBA next season plans.

One question though. Why does everyone automatically neg rep rival posters to 11 red boxes as soon as they say anything that's not pro Wildcats? It makes it hard to separate the real trolls from guys who just challenge Wildcat posters to argue about their team.

I have seen Downs play in person multiple times and have witnessed his fathers attitude first hand. Trust me they both care a great deal. If Micah is not putting up the numbers he thinks he should be Jan / Feb, discontent will start to emerge publicly. That discontent will come with or without Brandon. But Brandon's arrival is going to seriously expedite or exaggerate the situation. Micah is a pain in the ass man, in a bad, bad way.
I know you guys need scorers bad, but this is a bad move for the Kansas TEAM. HCBS doesn't seem to get it, he'll bring anyone on board, almost as if there is no thought given to chemistry. Last year, KU's lack of success had way more to do with chemistry then anything else. I am aware that those weren't his kids, but chemistry and team were still an after thought.
We'll see how it plays out this season. I think Kansas may have an additional weapon and worse team. I'm not drinking the Phlock kool-aid on this one. Self may be on the hot seat after this upcoming season.
thats a damn good class. Lets see what Self does with it.

Also, Carmello was hardly a kid looking to go straight to the NBA. He didn't even flirt with the League as a Senior, despite being on of the top players in the country. He never even mentioned it until he had to and was then basically told by his coach to leave because his stock would never be that high again.
Rush is only in college because the NBA wanted NO part of him right now. He had NO intention of ever stepping foot on a campus and has been talking up going prep-to-pro since around his sophomore year.
He's a talent. IMO, a better talent than Wright and Downs, so perhaps Self will utilize him more, but for a kid itchin' to make the leap, Kansas is very odd. Illinois was a very good destination. Oh well...
Brandon Rush = Dieing to go pro and now Kansas has to deal with four NBA talents, all four being immature (Downs the worst, Chalmers the best of the group), with all four having two-year NBA plans. You can't have four individuals playing for draft stock comprising a Title-contending team.
Hope Self remembers how to coach, real freakin' soon........
