I will be getting that distraction, but I won't be watching the game. Instead I'll be going to see Buddy Guy play the blues in concert. We've had tickets for this for months, but now it seems kind of poignant . . .

You can't open up the offense when you have awful quarterback play.
We actually don't know if Austin's play was awful or not because the line completely broke down in front of him. And that's partly because Canales forgot how to run the ball. We started out doing nothing but running and we ended up doing nothing but passing. And the Utes were smart enough to figure that out and step up the pass rush. Mix it up, dammit.

I think our coaches did a better job of pregame preparation, but the Utes have been clearly better at in-game adjustments.

Honestly I will say that I dont know what is going on, why is Austin playing, I dont know but I pray will find out soon. Austin is a great kid but honestly in big time football cannot get it done. I have no idea why he is playing right now. Austin has a stronger arm than Kovalcheck, but that doesnt matter when you throw the deep ball and it isnt accurate. Kovalcheck has not been playing that great, but he hasnt been awful. He needs to start the second half otherwise we are in trouble.

Our neighbors stop by to introduce themselves and chat... I walk back into the TV room to see the score tied at 10-10, as I watch Utah score another touchdown to re-take the lead.

I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't watch the game anymore, because I am certainly not bringing the team any luck.
