View Full Version : Having trouble posting

I know there has been some mention of problems posting, and having the browser (IE) lock up. I have had it happen when I go to preview a post, things just stop, I get a "not responding" message. Today I even had it happen when trying to send a PM. :o I'm not sure what is causing the problem, or how many others are experiencing the same thing. It is especially frustrating when I spend quite a bit of time finding documentation for, and quoting articles in one of my long winded posts :D

Have other's had the same problem in the last week or so? What can be done to prevent this in the future?

Mine has been slow, but it hasn't locked up in a while. I've usually been able to wait out the problems, but it takes a couple of minutes to unlock whatever it is that's getting it all hinky.

I have tried several times to reply to Ajzlakers1 PM.:( My computer stops responding as soon as I hit submit.

Same here, quoting someone then pasting in another article seems to hang up IE on me too.

Had trouble posting over the weekend. Mostly when using the quote feature.
All was fine come Monday though.
Maybe the board is haunted……..
Maybe I’ll bring it up in the “ghost stories” thread!Wooohooo!

It takes a couple minutes after hitting the submit button, but my PMs do send--they don't crash my comp. My advice to you, Tina, is to be patient like Chi and give your messages a couple minutes to send.

Patience is definitely something I could work on.......but I don't believe it would help this time. I have actually walked away from the computer, came back 15 minutes later and it's still locked up. :rolleyes:

It's not the browser, it's the quote feature. I can't answer a PM when I quote it. :(

Did you try the Forward button, Chicat?
