Nice article on AZ bound Mark Melancon out of CO

Over break, I was in Las Vegas and a buddy and I sat down at a BlackJack table. We had just got out of dinner and were sitting down to gamble for the first time that night. The guy to the left of me gives me a blank stare and says "Son, where in the f*** is your drink?" I told him that I just left dinner and he told me "you can't be in Las Vegas sober, you better hurry up and order something."

So we started playing and the ****tail (I didn't edit this word, the board did) waitress still hasn't come by. The guy says "You still haven't ordered a drink. What the hell is wrong with you? Are you in college?" I informed him that the waitress still hadn't gotten to us, and told him I go to the University of Arizona.

He says "The U of A? No s***. I'm a coach in Colorado and I have a kid going there next year." I asked his name and he told me it was Melancon and talked about him for a while. The guy was pretty drunk and was slurring everything, but here is what I got about him:

- "He's a big ugly son of a b**** with red hair and a god d*** mean fastball. That as***le has the best f****ng curveball I've ever seen."

- "He was a bad a** quarterback but is too god d*** slow and goofy looking to make it as a college football player. That son of a b**** is going to Arizona to play baseball. What the hell is wrong with you talking about football? Who wants a red headed quarterback? Do you guys even have a football team?"

Those are a couple excerpts from the conversation. Anyway, in this guys drunken slur, he was raving about Melancon and said he will be pretty damn good for us.
