ASSU has a horrible basketball team.
I'm becoming dumber by the minute watching this game. I feel the need to post, if for no other reason than to remind myself that I can still read and write.
(Yes, I'm actually watching the ASSU/UCSB game on FSNAZ. Please don't ask why.)
ASSU "pulling away" with just over 3 minutes left, but they are awful. UCSB is bad, and ASSU has struggled with them all night. In front of all 50 fans in attendance at WFA. KK is really the only saving grace on this team.
:robevans: hasn't missed a beat, looking like a lost, clueless idiot (as usual).
ASSU fan - aren't you embarassed? You're 2-0 on the young season, and there literally can't be more than 2000 people at this game. Way to show support for your "program". I know - it's UCSB - but how can you expect to improve (especially with regards to recruiting) when you can't even fill 1/4 of your arena's capacity?
I'll be really surprised if ASSU wins more than 4 or 5 conference games this season. And the PAC is down this year.
Pitiful.

Didn't ASSU start 11-0 last year or something? Playing the Sisters of Mercy one day, 3 days later playing the Hadley School for the Blind, then the following Saturday beating the San Francisco School for Ballroom Dance. Then they hit the Pac season and dropped way out...
Compare that to the Cat's schedule.

UCSB has a decent program, and this year they should be neck and neck with Irvine. If ASU pulls it off, they get more props than Stanford.
With that said, how could you watch this, Z97? With Ike gone, the only ASU games worth watching this year is when we clean the court with their sorry assus.

Dude, you had to ask, didn't you...
So as to not lose what credibility I do have, and to not come across as a pathetic loser with no life whatsoever (which is what would rightfully happen to any UA fan who made the conscious decision to actually watch an ASSU basketball game that wasn't vs. UA), I will answer.
I lost a bet over the weekend. This was my punishment.
Funny thing is, the ASSU grad who inflicted this upon me wouldn't even watch the game himself. :robevans:  :robevans:

I've heard the same, but in actually watching them they didn't look very good at all. Pretty bad, in fact. I cannot for the life of me understand how they could hang with (an albeit down) UNC team for 20-30 minutes. Their lack of talent is glaring (Christ, ASSU looked to have far more talent), and didn't seem to make up for it by playing diciplined basketball.
As bad as Virginia was, they should beat a team like UCSB by at least 15-20, and have it locked up within the first 10 minutes.
Maybe they're better than what they showed last night, and it is early in the season. But they looked bad. Very bad.

Hilarious. Here we are talking about basketball...

...and he brings up football. That's all he's got, folks. Football and "Spud Boy."
Hey Bills... say hello to Loren Wade for me, please. Then again, the conditions of YOUR parole might mean that you can't talk to felons.

Sisters of Mercy one day
Fortunately for them the Sisters were merciful.
3 days later playing the Hadley School for the Blind
It woulda been close if Hadley hadn't supplied the refs.
then the following Saturday beating the San Francisco School for Ballroom Dance.
The only Dance they'll see anytime soon.

Uh . . . huh?
This is why talking shiit with you is absolutely useless. It's like watching a retard hump a doorknob.
Can you read? Did you take an English class at that remedial high school they call Arizona State University? Where in my post did I say anything about UofA? Exactly, I didn't.
Our football team has been good and it has been bad. ASU's has been good and bad, but mostly mediocre. But even when we are bad at football, we at least can look forward to basketball season. What do you have to look forward to? Spring Practice? The annual mug shot lineup? The Dirk Koetter Death Watch?

You've got nothing. Not at your joke of an alma mater and certainly not on this board. In a battle of wits, you must find yourself perpetually outgunned.

I'm convinced by your scouting report, especially since I'm the one with the privilege of not having seen UCSB play (yet) this year. Well, I guess the Bob Williams death watch is on....
