View Full Version : FCB Week 6 Discussion

No-one has started one yet, so I figured I would.

McNamara absolutely went off today for 38 points and 8 threes.

Brewer recorded the first triple double of the year.

ZonaCat --- Good luck this week. It's gonna be hard with five of my guys only having one game. You have five guys with only one as well, but yours aren't your biggest producers.

Week 4 results are up, week 5 coming by Tuesday at the latest.

Take a look at the bottom of the schedules page for some tournament projections (also, I screwed up the matchups page a little, so the week 4 final stats are available from the link under the week 4 schedule)

Nice work Itamic..I'm rolling now and don't suspect losing until facing you

12-19-2005, 05:18 AM
eh, I'm going to need a lot more out of Kickert to be a threat to you or the goat. It would also help if Shelden went for a higher percentage and Rouse got some more points; Raivio replacing Wardrop is also nice.

I think I won in the week you haven't complied yet and I don't know about my chances for this week but Coleman Collins always helps..all I know is that with week 5, my points should be a lock

12-19-2005, 08:25 PM
Week 5 results are up through Tuesday, and NB is having a hell of a week. More to come later tonight.

12-20-2005, 12:30 AM
Solomon Jones' stats were actually 6 blocks and 3 turnovers. You got them backwards, but it doesn't matter either way.

12-20-2005, 02:09 PM
i would be kicking ass, now that i got slackers such as Benson and Walters off my team.

12-20-2005, 08:49 PM
Week 5 results now up, as are updated standings. Let's see if I can keep my nice little roll going against the new number 1 team in the country.

I have like no games this week..losing to Mal isn't out of the question..\

Actually..I have more games than I thought

12-21-2005, 01:53 AM
Droping Harvey Hale (Wake Forest - Guard) listed as Utility
Adding Jeremis Smith (Georgia Tech - Forward)

12-21-2005, 01:56 AM
Randall Hanke absolutely went off for me tonight. 34 points and 12 rebounds. Also, Rodney Carney was a beast tonight and went for 37.

My FG% is barely above 50 right now for this week, and that's gonna need some serious improvement.

As of right now -- Zonacat and I are very close.

12-21-2005, 01:56 AM
I hate it when I have nobody playing. grrrr.

12-21-2005, 02:03 AM
I hate it when I have nobody playing. grrrr.

Sensely and Padgett both play(ed) tonight. Padgett had a pretty decent game.

We both have 21 games this week.

12-21-2005, 02:11 AM
Romeo Travis went for 17 and 7 on 12/19

12-21-2005, 02:46 AM
I hope to be completely up to date tomorrow, so I can focus on picking up the players to take down the goat (and, on a less important note, allowing you to make mid-week adjustments :) )

12-21-2005, 05:37 PM
Drop Mario Moore (SG - Vanderbilt) for Bryan Hopkins (SG - SMU)

12-21-2005, 06:26 PM
Webpage is now up to date (Mal, your roster change has been noted). I've got some catching up to do, with Brewer's triple double and Anderson's two huge games. Thankfully, I have both Williams in action tonight as well as Kickert and Rouse, but I have to wait until tomorrow to unleash my secret weapon.

Let's hope USC can contain Hansbrough...

My matchup is going to be mighty close..

Itamic you are missing Mitchells games and I believe Collins game as well

Mitchell Monday night aganst Northern Iowa http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/ncaa/men/boxscores/2005/12/19/35466_boxscore.html

Collins Sunday at Stanford: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/ncaa/men/boxscores/2005/12/17/33169_boxscore.html

12-22-2005, 01:07 AM
Thank goodness Syracuse doesn't have another game this week. GMAC went off for 56 points, 17 assists, 10 3's, and 100% FT. He was a beast this week and because Barea only has one game, there's no chance I will win the assist category.

12-22-2005, 05:15 PM
Yesterday's games are up (although I just saw the two games I missed NB; those will be put up in the next update)...

I caught up a little bit but the goat has three games on me for the rest of the week. Another performance like that from Brewer and I'm done for, although it still could go 6-3/5-4 either way.

Jason Scheer
12-22-2005, 05:20 PM
My game is going to be close as Mal is getting good efforts all around..

12-23-2005, 05:38 AM
I think I lost the percentages tonight but now have a shot at points and an outside shot at boards (if Caner-Medley can get his act together).

Drop Reynaldo Balkman (SF-South Carolina) for Kojo Mensah (SF-Siena)

12-23-2005, 12:04 PM
Zonacat --- I have one game left --- you have 6. Right now I have NO chance of winning assists, steals, or 3 pointers. After White plays tonight I should be up around 120 points, which I wouldn't be suprised to see you overcome. I think I'm pretty safe with rebounds and blocks, but anything can happen with FG% and FT%. Best of luck to ya.

12-23-2005, 12:31 PM
Also, after this week, drop Loren Stokes (Hofstra) for Gary Neal (Towson). He's finally come back from his injury. :)

12-23-2005, 12:53 PM
Ahmet Gueye had 12, 12, 1, and 2 steals with 5 blocks in his last game

12-23-2005, 04:34 PM
Yesterday's games are up.

Drop Lorenzo Williams (G - Rice) for Wes Wardrop (PG - LMU) in the vain hope that I can make up the 10 assists and 21 points I need with a two player edge the rest of the way.

12-23-2005, 05:07 PM

Rashad Anderson is going off right now. 33 points on 12-15 shooting, 7-7 3's.

Gay has 18 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.

This is looking like it's going to be my first loss.

Jason Scheer
12-23-2005, 05:12 PM
129 points for UCONN..geez..

12-23-2005, 05:41 PM
Itamic ---

Randall Hanke had another game last night. His stats should be 44 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 steals, 6 blocks, 6 turnovers, 0 3's, 4-5 FT, 20-31 FG.

Well I am now officially back to come and whip you ladies back into shape. Being out in the boonies with only dial up internet access being a rarity is not the way I wanted to run my team. Saw I smoked Hansen but Williams once again choked at the line. Also Itamic so shameless trying to setup your team midweek to beat the projected last place team.:)

12-23-2005, 11:27 PM

Ahmet Gueye should have 28 pts, 25 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 3 turnovers, 4blocks,9-19 FG, 8-14FT

also updates needed for McGrath & Nathan Peavy

Well I lost this week. Couldn't take out Itamic's midweek subs which gave him an extra game or 2 on me.

Well I lost this week. Couldn't take out Itamic's midweek subs which gave him an extra game or 2 on me.

Sadly I think this will be my first loss too. I think I will lose 4-5. I'm hoping for David Padgett to have butter fingers tommorow and have around 10 turnovers. I can hope can't I? :)

Jason Scheer
12-24-2005, 02:08 AM
I too think I'm going to lose..

12-24-2005, 02:19 AM
ZonaCat, you need 54 points from Padgett and Sensely to win that category. Hopefully they don't have some career game on me.

Solomon Jones --- 14 turnovers this week --- killer. Farmar averaged 9 assists a game this week for you --- Very nice.

It's looking like it's going to be 5-4 either way. Just depends on how well your guys shoot in their final 2 games.

Well if my numbers are right I should win 4-3-2. Wish I would have been able to sub Eddins like I wanted too. Would have taken the loss in turnovers, but could have easily taken back assists, steals, and blocks. Also I motion that ties are dumb and the person who plays the least amount of games should win the category. :)

12-24-2005, 05:35 AM
the goat - you still have blocks, and you had one more game than I did this week (24-23) :)

Congrats on the 4-3-2 win; had I been awake and noticed that Hopkins (an original draftee, he along with Mensah are keepers, Wardrop was the only hired gun) was eligible again at the beginning of the week I would have taken points and steals, so it goes both ways. Kickert really needs to get his ass in gear if I'm going to compete; all your guys with three games produced the goods expected of them (particularly C.J. Anderson, my new least favorite player).

Second week I lose by a ridiculously thin margin - two ties, 3 blocks, 3 points (or 00.5% of the points scored in the matchup). Anyone in Division I can get really good prices on Louisville players right now

Oh, and the page is updated with everyone else's irrelevant stats (Iowa State/Colorado State matchup unavailable right now, I'll get it tomorrow)

12-24-2005, 10:14 AM
Dammit, I must have been asleep at the wheel! Landry is out for the year. There goes one of my early picks.......

Drop Carl Landry add Wes Wilkinson NEB. I need someone to get me some blocks.

I know it's all in good fun. I just like giving you a hard time.

Itamic I don't know the Duke conversion rate for adding, but I get 57 Turnovers for you giving me the win in that category.:smokin:

Also not all my players with 3 games did good. The 2 LSU boys played way below their averages. Davis better get his ass in gear in the coming weeks or he'll find himself on the block. Anderson on the otherhand was tremendous and only reason my week looks decent is standout games from him, Brewer, and Dudley.

Happy Holidays to everyone, and Itamic please take down Nobody next week.

12-24-2005, 01:53 PM
Oops, you are correct; I must have missed one of the guys the first time through.

12-24-2005, 02:33 PM
Also no one trade Itamic any players from the Ville today. No matter how many free popcorn passes to the movies he offers you. Remember you can never trust a guy giving out a coupon dressed in a chicken suit....

12-24-2005, 11:06 PM
Somehow I managed a win. 5-4 --- not too good, but if it wasn't for Solomon Jones' 14 turnovers I would have won 6-3. Good game ZonaCat.
