No, this game was at Mac Court late in either the 2000 or 2001 regular season. It was really startling, as Arizona had just been looking unbeatable for the last month coming into the game.
Does anyone else remember the game I'm talking about? I think Bryan Bracey lit us up and several Ducks hit circus shots, tearing us up from the field in the first half. Gardner admitted later, "We never came to play."

I'm not saying the sky is falling, we are horrible, we won't make the tourney. Rather this team just doesn't have much of a future this season assuming we keep on playing like this.

This is like our pre-Christmas effort all over again. We're allowed one of these...but that's it.
Why we even have ONE against such a lackluster conference this year, though, is utterly beyond me. I have to put some of the responsibility on the coaches in this one. Jay John seems to have absolutely outprepared the Arizona staff, at least when it came to the players' mental state.

Hassan is going through a mid-season lull. Reading too many of his own press clippings or something. He mostly dogged it last game, too, even though we won. I watched him closely in that game and he did not play very hard. Didn't move well without the ball on O and didn't even try to get any rebounds. One board in that game, one board tonight. Lute has to be incensed about that.
