Guys,
Please keep information from the premium message board and the front page on the premium message board. Way too much stuff has been leaking onto the free boards lately.
We'd appreciate if you showed the business and it's subscribers the respect of keeping premium info on premium.
Thanks,
Josh

Now I ask you if the government and the pentagon can't keep sensitive material from leaking to the N Y Slimes. What is to prevent anyone from posting the same type of material to the quote "Regular Boards".
You should institute some sort of loyalty oath...:lol2: :lol2:

but I don't get much info from the VIP site anyway. I quit 'Premium' because it has been anything but 'Premium' over the last six months.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I think most could agree that in the last six months, our premium football coverage has been the best it has ever been at least for inside info and breaking stories.

I am not sure what you expect from the premium board but Josh has answered every question I have ever seen posted there and have been surprised by the amount of breaking info and direct access to recruits and coaches.

I also like it.
I'll comment on one aspect of Premium that I've noticed. I have been paying for it for about a year. I enjoy what I've gotten for my money. HOWEVER, I have been suprised about 2 things.
1) Most of the "breaking" stories and news were public in the Daily Star within 1 news cycle. Often on the public board within a few hours. Even when it wasn't leaked Premium info (ie, the other site giving the info away).
2) There's a lot of "inside information" that doesn't get disclosed within even within Premium.
In some ways, I expected more often to read "credible rumors" with greater detail. (Understandably, but unfortunately I guess) it seems that protecting the source of information causes much of the very early stage stuff to be held and/or implied without clarification.
Just my observations. That said, I've been happy with Premium.

There's definately a great deal of background information and interviews with recruits. That's always great to read.

There's a lot more media with football, so things get picked up much quicker than with basketball. In basketball we'll have info for weeks before anyone picks it up but in football others usually find out quickly.
Also, it depends on the source in which we get it from. Some don't mind things being released early and others want to be careful and hold off.
What we'll always do is cover the recruits from the beginning until the end through interviews, so the readers always know exactly what the kids are saying about Arizona, not just what sources feel Arizona's chances are. If you hear our opinion and mix it in with what the kid says, it's easier to get a feel for what's going on.
How we cover football is definitely different than basketball, but with both sports we'll try to put out as much content as possible to make up for times when there isn't as much inside information being released.
In terms of where we are in quantity of content (quality is up for you to decide), breaking info and inside info when it comes to football, I feel we're doing much better in all areas than ever before. I don't think breaking news is as big of a deal as others in the field (in fact, really it's the least amount of work because it's just repeating what someone has told you), but we've broken a good percentage of the commitments in this class and it shows we're working hard and accumulating good sources in the process.
Of course, we're always striving to do better and will continue to do so.

I think this is a very, very fair and honest assessment of the situation as I've experienced it. Thanks Josh!
