If anyone has any connections or advice, I am looking for two tickets to this game.

Thanks in advance.

You basically have two options here:
Option 1
-Enroll at Duke University
-Buy a tent
-Find 11 friends
-Live in tent with 11 friends beginning in January

Option 2
-Find $800-$1500 per seat
-Buy on line

Scalping at the site is almost non-existant for the UNC game at Duke due to the demographics of who gets the seats.

How early do they really start camping out? Do they just rotate who is there so someone is there at all times?

I'm betting the first tent will go up on December 26 this year since there is only one tenting game and it's in early February. The first 10-15 tents or so always go up before school starts (the first full week in January), the next 25-30 by mid-January, and 60 more a week before the game. (We are capped at 100 tents because of the alleged size of the student section, and I think 60 tent positions are held for the week before the game because not even Duke students can spend four weeks camping out for a game)

The official rules are:
1 person in the tent during the day, 8 at night until the week before the game, then 1 person during the day, 2 at night; the two nights before the game each individual student must be present for 3 of 5 personal checks. You can get out of tenting for a night if either the temperature is below 25 degrees or if 8 of 12 of your tent goes to a women's basketball game during that day.

Okay, is it really worth it for a 2 hour basketball game to basically live in a tent for 2 1/2 months?

I think this should help answer the question. Stupid Steve Johnson got in the way of my buddy's camera, but you get the idea.

there is only ONE tenting game??? Man, y'all are dumber/crazier/lamer whatever than I thought before. Seriously, there is no excuse for that...(well unless I'm in the tent w/11 hot/horny women, you know ALL 11 of them from Duke! :p)

Yea, I don't even know if I would live in a tent for 2+ months for tickets to the NC game if Arizona was in it, I mean c'mon, it's just insane.

Well, being in the tent is going to give you a leg up on being in line for all the games before that game, since you're probably already there. But that kind of devotion to the team is what makes our fans so great - they've invested that much time into the game, they are going to be cheering their asses off.(Also, there are typically two tenting games, but due to timing of when and where we play our marquee ACC opponents they only had one game this year, I can't imagine that would change any of your opinions about it though).

Also, it's not like they are sitting there twiddling their thumbs; particularly in the few weeks preceeding the game it is the party location at Duke.

So, that makes it the smores & ginger ale headquarters for the Cameron Crazies (99% guys), while the regular guys are in Chapel Hill getting w/the UNC hotties??? Hmmm, tent or UNC hotties, that's a tough one...:lol2: :lol2:

Yes, there is never any drinking whatsoever in K-Ville. None at all. Also, no girls. None. Zero. In fact, 100% of all K-Ville residents and Duke students are dudes.
