Wow, the Jazz lose Carlos Boozer for 4-6 weeks with a factured fibula. Tough to replace 22 and 12 every night.

What's the deal with former Dukies and their inability to stay healthy?? Grant Hill, Jason Williams, Bobby Hurley, Boozer... Guess that's what happens when you sell your soul to the Blue Devil.

Not to disagree, but didn't hurley and williams get in nasty car/moto wrecks?

This hurts my fantasy squad, and someone already jumped on Milsap.

Yeah, my point wasn't how they were injured only that they didn't remain healthy.

On another note, what are the odds that Boozer would be the first Dukie to be OUTED, I had JJ in my pool.. DAMN! Shoulda known w/the hairy chest that Boozer was the better pick! Oh wait, is that not what this thread is about?

The problem is that the Jazz will still likely win their division unless they totally fade and the Nuggets can put it together and go on a nice run. I don't recall if they changed the structure but that would make the Jazz the #3 seed right? As a Rocket fan, I'd much rather see the Lakers get the 5 seed and the Rockets get the 6 seed. I don't want anything to do with the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.

No, the Jazz would have the four seed, but the team with the best record still gets home court. So for example, the top 3 seeds are Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, and the next two are the Rockets then the Jazz. The Jazz would still get the 4th seed, but the Rockets would have home court even though they are the 5th seed. Essentially, if you win your division, you must be one of the top 4 seeds, but seeding has no impact on home court advantage, only record does.

Stupid rule and the only way it would have a real impact would be if a division winner finished 9th in the conference. In that scenario, they would still make the playoffs as a 4 seed, but would not have home court in any round of the playoffs.
