The situation I'm watching the closest is if the Bo Sox go out and land another starter. I'm personally hoping they land Jason Johnson from the Orioles.
If not BK is back in the rotation and Williamson closes.

i thought the red sox said it was a "remote possibility" that williamson would close over BK. from everything i've heard, BK is still the closer. did something change?

Take your hands out of your pocket and let Jocketty make some moves for pitching health. Why not trade Drew for Garcia and a prospect? THeir the same age with, lots of potential and similar priced contracts.(Garcias' was a little more) I would also love to see Suppan in a Cardinals uniform.

BK is still the closer, but after Ramiro Mendoza blew up again last night, the Sox really, I mean REALLY, need another starter.
Between Timlin and Sauerback the Sox have two terrific set-up men, and now they have two very good closers.
If you have a gaping hole in the rotation, and a surplus of arms in the pen, PLUS a guy who wants to be a starter and has success for you as a starter in the bully, it makes sense. Kim could be the 4th starter, and once the playoffs started they could move to a 3-man rotation of Pedro, Lowe, and Wakefield and move Kim back into the pen.
Again, we'll have to see what happens in the next 2 hours.

Who wants Kim in the 9th inning against the Yankees, anyway?

Sox got their man, Suppan.
Should mean Kim remains the closer in a wicked bullpen.

Great.
This is going to be a real fun push for the division championship with Tomko, Stephenson and Fassero anchoring the bottom 3 spots of the rotation. We just got b*tch slapped at the deadline and it doesn't feel good.
