Thanks for attending, Wisconsin. Don't let the door hit ya.
I really think that whomever won that game, UNLV or GT, could beat Wisconsin here. I didn't really think that we'd be so close to have UNLV/TAMUCC, but it just drives home that Wisconsin can't win this thing.

Wisconsin hasn't been the same team since Brian Butch went down. They had a shot for a deep run with him, but I really don't think they'll be able to go very far without him.

Especially since UNLV definitely saw the tape of Wisconsin coming back against TAMU-CC. I haven't been able to see any of this game, but I don't get why teams can't hold a lead against a team that is so offensively inept like Wisconsin.

UNLV just playing stupid right now, struggling in their passing and committing dumb fouls.

I'm kind of shocked that Wisconsin was even able to stay this close to UNLV.
I think Oregon should be able to beat UNLV.

I will be starting a thread at my site for all those UNLV fans who begged ASU to hire Kruger to come down and thank us for not doing.
I like LK but am happy how it worked out. Kruger should go for Michigan to spite those folks.

I have them in the Elite 8, losing to Florida for the FF4.
So far, I got 11 of the Sweet 16. My picks for Elite 8 still alive are Florida, Oregon, Kansas, UCLA, UNC, Ohio St and TA&M (Wazzu's the first to fall). I have the following 4 losing the next game in Pitt, Memphis, Goergetown and SC. At this point, I wouldn't mind SC upsetting the Heels, and I think they can do it.

I similarly got 11 (whiffed on Butler, UNLV, USC, Vandy, and Tennessee) and only lost one Elite 8 team so far, Texas, so I hope that USC beats the crap out of UNC, since I figure many more people put UNC ahead in their brackets. :)

I have the Heels playing for the title. Right now, I'm torn between wanting them to continue and lose that title game, or wishing SC can pull the upset Friday.
If there's a guarantee that the Heels will lose to my pick in that title game, then I'd want them to continue. But I'm willing to bust my bracket (and chance to win my pool) if SC can put to rest the love fest for the ACC.
You know what, SC has enough NBA talent, and the moxie to get it done. High praise indeed from a long time Bruin fan.

Wisconsin came out of the locker room with a solid game plan and fed off the crowd to get momentum on their side and get back into the game. However, once one offensive sequence went badly for them, you could almost see them visibly deflate. They played with zero fire and looked like they were resigned to losing with about 10 minutes left in the game. I should know, I've seen those looks before. Don't forget, I'm a fan of Arizona basketball.
What UNLV was able to do was to stick with their game plan. They never deviated from it, even when Wisconsin made their run and it paid off in the end. I don't think UNLV can continue their run against a team like Oregon who can match up with them athletically. But I have to say, this team looks entirely different than the one that we scorched earlier in the season.
PS - The funniest part of the game was when the guy next to us got up to leave with 1:07 left on the clock and Wisconsin down 6. He was furious the entire game and then got up in disgust and just walked out of the arena. Meanwhile, ten seconds later Wisconsin had cut it to 3 points and everyone around us was laughing about what an idiot he was. He couldn't have been trying to beat traffic. It was the first game of the doubleheader! :lol2:

I had Wisconsin losing to the first team athletic that could score evben before the brackets, which to me was UNLV once the brackets were announced. Yay me.
