View Full Version : Washington vs. Hawaii

For anyone who still feels like watching football tonight, Washington is blowing the **** out of Hawaii. 21-0 after less than 10 minutes.

Well this ought to end all the bull**** talk about Hawaii. Think they got a little premature on everyone last week? Play someone then we'll chat about the BCS.

I don't think the game is over yet. UW has a tendency of blowing big leads, especially in the fourth quarter.

Hawaii losing all but guarantees ASU the Fiesta Bowl, however. :P

Also, lolin', how long has Desmond Howard been a sideline reporter? So awkward, they always have him standing in this bizarre, artistic pose.

Jesus, it's like no one on Hawaii can take a hit. Probably because no one has hit them this year.

I knew it. sadly it ruins a great season for a neat little program. Hawaii's never had **** for sports. Let them have a perfect season. What good does this do for UW? Nothing. It helps ASU. damn it all to hell tonight.

Well except for OKL.

Loved having Boise State in. Thought they were deserving, played some good teams, were a good squad. Loved having Utah in. Same thing.

This Hawaii team is terrible. I hope you like LSU's fight song if you want Hawaii in the BCS, because you're going to hear it all night long during the Sugar Bowl.

LSU is playing Ohio State for the National title.

Get on it ......

BlueMikey
12-02-2007, 01:34 AM
There is no way in hell LSU can get the computer numbers to get in the national championship game. It is a virtual impossibility. They would almost essentially have to be #2 on every single ballot and have Georgia fall to #4 on every ballot.

azpatnca
12-02-2007, 01:36 AM
TV agrees. Ohio St. and LSU.

BlueMikey
12-02-2007, 01:37 AM
TV is wrong. Dude is an idiot. Look at the numbers. LSU is 5th and SEVENTH in the polls. Georgia is 4th in both. Georgia is 5th in the computers, LSU 7th.

BlueMikey
12-02-2007, 01:42 AM
Let's put it this way:

If you are going to move up LSU because they played today, then why the hell are we moving up OSU when they didn't play? If Georgia doesn't move up, then OSU shouldn't move up.

Class of 1990
12-02-2007, 01:43 AM
Georgia 2 losses.
A disappointing South Carolina team and blown out by Tenn.

LSU wins the SEC championship over Tenn and lost to Kentucky and Arkansas in 3OT each game.

I'm sure you watched both teams.

Is Georgia better the LSU ?

The voters are going to vote someone #2.
After tonight the BSC becomes a national not regional joke.
Oklahoma-SC-LSU will stake their claim over an idle Georgia.

Ohio State #1. 1 loss I know but ....

Class of 1990
12-02-2007, 01:45 AM
I'm thinking the Michigan-Ohio State game should get moved at least 1 week later.

Ohio State hasn't played since Nov 17th.

BlueMikey
12-02-2007, 01:48 AM
I'm not saying who should be in the championship, I'm saying who will be.

(I think OSU and LSU have the best resumes of the teams remaining. I think Georgia and USC are currently the best teams.)

Anyone who says that LSU will be in the national championship game is essentially saying that someone whose ballot last week was:

1) West Virginia
2) Missouri
3) Ohio State
4) Georgia
5) Kansas
6) Virginia Tech
7) LSU

Will change their ballot to be:

1) OSU +2
2) LSU +5
3) Georgia +1
4) Kansas +1

Was LSU playing like **** for 3 quarters today really enough to justify moving them up that much? Doing so essentially admits that last week's poll was WRONG. If someone thought Georgia was better last week, why would they think LSU is better this week?

Because they won. They beat Tenn and Georgia did not.
On the field is proof and that is why we need a final (4 or 8) for teams to prove it on the field.

Ugh.

UW sucks.

I mean...if you can't have a good football team, you could compensate with a good basketball team.

We have neither. Sure Oregon state basketball team sucks ass. But they have a football team. The coogs suck at football (But not as much as us), but they got a basketball team.

Ugh.

Then why aren't you arguing harder to remove OSU from the title game? They didn't not win either.

Essentially, your argument leads to LSU vs. Virginia Tech in the national championship game, simply because they played today and other, possibly better teams didn't.

No I'd rather have LSU play Georgia in the final game but boy OKL with Bradford is tough. But I except OSU I guess and will not argue them being in the final game.

Ben I don't want to argue in this thread.
My bad cause I threw out LSU in response to IB comment about the Sugar Bowl.

Congrats to Hawaii. It's not their fault that when they schedule a team like Michigan - who started the season ranked #5 that Michigan craps out on them to schedule a D-2 team.

Had it been Hawaii and not Appalachian St. that beat UM, there wouldn't be near as much criticism.

Nah only a couple hundred K. Second team from a conference only gets 4 million and most of that is used up by expenses.

Much smaller payout for the second BCS team from a conference. And ASU still in.

Fiesta - OU/ASU
Sugar - Hawaii/UGA
Orange - VT/WVU
NC - OSU/LSU

Michigan didn't reneg, some other team worse than them did. Might have been Colorado.

Michigan wouldn't have lost to Hawaii. As crappy as they are, you'd have a tough time convincing me that their defense is worse than Washington's, and their offense definitely would have put up more than 35. So what you'd have is an 11-1 team that played 10 **** teams, 1 okay conference opponent, and 1 underachieving BCS team (loss).

Not a BCS-caliber team.

Tui outperformed Brennan against Washington's defense.
