that Rahim Moore, 5* UCLA commit, is visiting on the 18th. Seems he and Golden bonded at the US-Army game.

Not a 5 star.....yet. May make the jump after tearing up San Antonio.

Three visits set up for Moore...

North Carolina - Jan. 11
Arizona - Jan. 18
Texas - Jan. 25

He is UCLA's to lose since they were able to retain Walker.

Since UCLA is mainly interested in Kevan Walker as the cornerstone of their WR class, what are Nelson Rosario, WR (4*), Antwon Moutra, WR (4*), and Jerry Johnson, WR (4*) thinking?

There is only ONE football and slick Rick does not usually run a spread type offense. There are only so many touches that any one of them is going to get in a game.

Reminds me of 5 Star Luthur Brown who went to USC after USC had recruited the #1 & #2 5 Star LB's in CA. Bounced around for a year at a JC and no one has really heard of him since except when USC talked about moving him to FB due to injuries.

His HS buddy Adrian McCovey says that it was always his dream to play for USC. I guess some want to play for USC or UCLA even though it will mess up a potential chance of success at a school where they will play, establish a loyal university support base, and scouts will have more film to look at.

He would start the second he signed his name on his LOI here, he is that good.

If Moore does have interest in the UA then he's talking out of both sides of his mouth:

Recruits stick with UCLA

Dominguez High defensive back Aaron Hester and Dorsey safety Rahim Moore remain committed to UCLA.

Both players, who were participating in all-star games this weekend, were able to talk to new coach Rick Neuheisel by phone. Hester and Moore were relieved when defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker decided to stay at UCLA.

"I'm still committed," Hester said Sunday. "My mind's not going to change."

Said Moore: "I'm strong as a rock with UCLA."

What?

UCLA is not 'mainly interested' in Kevan Walker. He happens to be DeWayne Walker's son but the other WR's are higher on their board. Secondly, from what I understand Neuheisel is telling people he's strongly considering running a spread formation, but of course it all depends on what OC he decides to go with. Beyond that, receiver has been just about the weakest link on the team for the past couple of seasons just based on the lack of talent alone, so a big WR class was imperative for UCLA this year. Moutra, Johnson, Rosario and Walker were all on campus this past weekend and had good initial meetings with Neuheisel. The coach will plan in-home visits with each WR but his ability to hold onto all four may be tied into his ability to hold onto Eric Scott.

As for Rahim Moore, I know he's taking a few visits but I wouldn't get my hopes up; he's been telling everyone what's said in the post right above this one.

Yeah, he's a Solid "soft verbal" still taking visits, that's not very concrete.

I don't think we'll end up with either Moutra or Moore, even though both are studs, especially Moore. Too bad.

That's my question, if Moore is so solid with the bruins why is he still taking visits?? I think he wants to make sure, which translates into not being that solid. That I am still exploring options.

Not worried about Moore. He's pretty much a lock. They didnt take visits earlier because when they committed to UCLA, they decided to end their recruitment and not take anymore visits for Dorrell's sake. Dorrell isnt there anymore so there is nothing stopping these kids from visiting other schools. They are considered soft because they want to visit a few other schools. They only have so many shots at recruiting visits, why not take a few trips for free? It's funny to read his comments to every school though as he's very respectful to them. By the looks of it, Arizona is an unoffical visit?

As for the WR priority, I think it goes Rosario, Moutra, Johnson, and then Walker. Walker is a hell of a talent though in his own right. He's basically a Desmond Reed clone

Where would have Bateman fit on that list if he would have stayed?

Also becuase you get treated like a king on official visits. When you have the opportunity, why not take them? IIRC, before his Georgia trip this was a kid who had never been on a plane before. These trips are quite the experience, especially for a kid who has barely left SoCal throughout his life.
