I don't know. I'm not premium, but I'm not sure it's cool for Eric to be spilling Josh's beans, and citing Josh as the source...Maybe it promotes the site, but still.

That's just weird.

All of those links are premium info.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not, but this guy is a complete and total hack. His blog is generally a roundup of what you find on Rivals and Scout. There is just about nothing I find there that I can't find even on basic. I admit, however, I do read him when there's a big story advertised on premium and I wish to circumvent buying a subscription.

I still read the last guy, Matt Bracken (now at baltimoresun.com), because he pays much more attention to the national recruiting scene and actually, ya know, CALLS people from time to time instead of relying exclusively on Rivals-sniping.

The other thing I hate is that this guy is a total ASU homer. Granted, it's hard to be homer in the opposition's territory, but I notice that he seems to cover his own alma mater better than ours at times. While our recruiting interests intersect quite a bit, it just seems like he's always adding in ASU commits from guys we weren't chasing at all, and almost seems to revel in our failures from time to time. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

It's not just you. I don't want a total homer covering recruiting (if I wanted that I could listen to myself) but I definitely want less of a debbie downer. He seems to pass over the positive in order to exentuate the negative, acting like players choosing other schools, dropping out, etc never happens to other schools.

That being said I still read his stuff---much like I am still drawn to Hansen's stuff. I don't want to but I just can't look away.

Bear Down!
