Cool - I'm glad we gave an extension to Lopez. He seems to be doing a bang up job for our team. I hope he can bring the baseball team back to major level and dominate like we used to.

Anyone else think something a little odd is going on when a team recruits 20+ players (especially after draft losses)?
It's amazing that Stanford, Miami, Rice, and USC can compete with the public schools when they're so scholarhip limited. Something needs to be done to keep schools like Texas, Florida State, Fresno, Fullerton, OSU, South Carolina, etc. from recruiting every player in site with low state-school tuition. The NCAA should at least raise the scholarship limit to 18-20, so teams can offer every starter and significant pitcher in their program a scholarhip.

Notice almost all the ranked teams reside in the sourthern states or west coast. Perhaps it is because most of the south and west can play baseball yearround.
