They have taken self-hype to a weird place. First, there was Tate Forcier and his offer letters/website:

http://www.qbforce.com/tate/offers/Offers.htm

And now his brother's weird transfer press release:

Fact: This press release has taken d-baggery to an all time level.

everyone knows the best way to end a ridiculous, attention-seeking "press-release" dumping on your previous coaching staff while simultaneously announcing your greatness in athletics and academia is to finish it by misspelling the name of your new school.

I guess it's safe to say that the not-pictured son is daddy's favorite.

And to be part of the greatness of Fuhman University's academic's

No need for that superfluous apostrophe, Team Forcier. They should hire a full time editor.

From the Dan Patrick show today:

Former UCLA quarterback Chris Forcier joined the show to discuss the press release he sent out before leaving the school to go to Furman.

Forcier list a bunch of "facts" about what happened to him in Westwood. Forcier said the coaching change was the main reason he didn't play at UCLA.

"I was recruited by a different staff," Forcier said on the show. In the end, at that level college football is a business and a new boss meant new players.

Forcier said that UCLA actually played him at receiver this Spring. He really wanted to play quarterback.

Dan asked him why he didn't just leave without issuing this release. "I just wanted people to know why I was leaving school," Forcier said.

Forcier said that UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel helped him with the transfer process.

Here is a sample of Forcier's press release:

Fact: I was a National Recruit out of High School including multiple Pac-10 offers.

Fact: I was a scout.com (4) Star QB labeled as a dual-threat. I learned a complicated offense that calls for a pocket passing QB.

Fact: I'm a life long UCLA Fan. I love UCLA Football. Most Bruin fans have been very supportive/good people.

Fact: I've always worked hard in the classroom as a student athlete where I've been recognized as a UCLA Honor Roll student.

Fact: I've competed hard in games and on the practice field, in film and meetings where I've always come prepared, attentive, always taking notes.

Fact: I believe my UCLA teammates respect me, especially the defense since my freshman year including past D-Coordinator Coach Walker.

Fact: I was practice player of the week as a freshman multiple times.

Fact: New QB Coach Norm Chow and New Head Coach Rick Neuheisel have brought in and played since day (1) their own guys (Quarterbacks)

I've wasted a whole day looking at this fascinating site. It reads like it was written by Kenny Powers.

This explains a lot:

"To my Personal Trainer/QB Coach:
Marv Marinovich"

FACT: PerpEph was first to post this story.

FACT: I'm a dirty, lousy double thread starter for posting the same story on the Football board.

FACT: I don't know how how Forcier did 18 FACTS. I'm annoyed after 3.

FACT: I found the team trying to get PerpEph's cat.

Fact: Perph's cat is trying not to laugh.

Fact: The team should worry about the dog's loyalty. Really should worry.

I was listing to the sports radio in Columbus (the fan) when they stated that there are two different camps for who should start. Tate Forcier and (I cant remember) and even the player that went to Big-10 media days said that he can't really respect a guy that doesn't go to voluntary practice and that the other guy is really who should start.

Michigan implosion this season will be great and Harbaugh will leave Stanford after a mediocre season and QB leaving for the Pro's.

The Forcier camp has one person in it, and that one person will probably put in for a transfer before the year is out. They aren't going to be great, but they aren't going to implode, either.

Harbaugh burned that bridge.

Harbaugh burned that bridge.

8-16 made a lot of butthurt alumni forget those comments. If Rodriguez doesn't win this year, the next coach will be a Michigan man, which pretty much limits it to Harbaugh, Lesticles, and Brady Hoke. Nothing that has happened over the last few months to make me think that Dave Brandon is dumb enough to hire the latter two.

Sad, really is sad - I can't imagine needing that website, but apparently some people crave it.
