Assuming that Barkley holds onto that job, he has a chance to put up some huge numbers, and collect some serious hardware, over the next 3 years.

Barkley in the horseshoe that early in the season will be interesting. Guy has a cannon, but going into the place is a whole different beast from anything he has ever seen.

he's a great talent but just at first he might be a 1/1 int to td ratio kinda guy

Doesnt matter how good of a Fresh. you are, youre still a Freshman, and I think Barkley will have growing pains, especially at the Horseshoe. But I still think SC will win at OSU, the defense and offense besides Barkley. Barkley will be like Flaco w/ the Ravens last year.

As long as he limits the dumb mistakes he'll be fine. USC is going to run over everyone with those RB's and that O-line.

If Corp decides to transfer now, will he be eligible to play next season at the new school? He's only a soph, I think it'll be dumb for him to stay at SC. I'm sure plenty of good schools can use him.

These days, second string at 'SC is better than first string at most other schools. Especially in the Pac-10.

I heard this on 710 am ESPN radio in LA but have not heard Carroll say it. In fact he said yesterday that he would wait till after the scrimmage Saturday to make a decision. Maybe medical has said Corp can't play because this is a complete change from what Pete said on air yesterday. If Corp can't play this annoucement makes sense. If he can play why make this decision before seeing them both scrimmage.

From Carroll......"He's the starting quarterback at USC -- it's not a one-game deal," Carroll said. "He seized the opportunity that was in front of him and took control. He deserves all the credit in the world, and we expect nothing but great things from him."

Well I guess things changed.

Stafon Johnson, McKnight, Gable, and Bradford, are going to give OSU all they can handle and should provide more than enough of a running game to help Barkley out.

I still think SC rolls by 14

The video is gone. What was it?

I guess the mods took it down.

It was LSUfreek's work.

It was Jim Tressel and a group of OSU players standing around looking up with their mouths open. The gif then changes to an enormous Pete Carroll wearing nothing but a speedo. The gif then changes back and then a huge ball sack drops down in front of Tressel's and the player's faces. My description doesn't really do it justice, but that is the gist

Hahahaha. I love the Buckeye fans that just insist that there is no way that anyone, much less USC, can come into the 'shoe and beat THEE MIGHTY OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.

Barkley can already look a bit forward to next season with Kyle Prater, #1 WR and #2 Overall in the Nation (according to Rivals), giving his verbal to USC today. He is only 6'5", 205.

Don't forget Robert Woods, probably the top offensive talent on the West Coast committed to the Trojans about a week or so ago.

Woods and Prater would be an insane duo for Barkley to get the ball to over the next few years.

The rich keep getting richer at SC.

Mustain's going to fill the John David Booty role in Troy. He'll come in as a discontented transfer from an old school with a whole entourage trumpeting his NFL status.

And he'll leave having hardly played a minute of college ball at QB.

Carroll should line up Mitch at receiver or something, just so he doesn't feel like Barkley's wristband on the sidelines the next three seasons.

John David Booty went to USC straight out of high school (actually left high school a year early) and started for two years at USC.

Mustain will transfer to a 1aa after this season. He has said he wanted to get his degree and was too close to leave.

Barkley looks like a guy terrified of turning the ball over.

SC is getting in gear for OSU. 3 rushing Tds already.

That running game is just sick.

Getting hurdled by a FB has to be pretty damned embarrassing.

This team has a sick amount of talent even with their injuries. Let's hope that however this season sorts out they get a worthy team in a bowl game for the first time in a few years.

Barkley looks good, doing exactly what SC needs him to do.

Hasnt thrown the ball downfield more than 15 yards, but he doesnt have to. Im guessing they dont want to show off too much before they head to Columbus.

They certainly look ready to play. I hope we look polished tonight.
