Really? Is Washington really improved this much.. or is LSU just overrated?

Not so fast...

Horrible no-call on the PI. UW is repping the PAC well right now though.

Now that is why teams don't run the option at this level.

That ball looks out there.

Hire both the OC and DC from USC and there you go. But what kind of magic did they work on their O and D line. Incredible.

That was unfortunate. I think UW gets run off the field in the second half now, although Sark vs. Miles is not exactly a battle of the halftime adjustment titans.

Is Erik Folk related to Nick Folk? Why isn't he a Wildcat?

09-06-2009, 12:13 AM
... younger brother of former Arizona punter and placekicker (and current Dallas Cowboy) Nick Folk, who was a first-team All-Pac-10 punter in 2006 ... another brother, Greg, plays soccer at UCLA ... ranked as the nation's No. 10 kicker by Rivals ... ranked by Scout as the nation's No. 8 kicker ... coached by Kevin Rooney at Notre Dame.

Is he at UW or LSU?

It's good to see the UW crowd back and into a game after the past few years.

They were rockin that stadium in the first half. It's always good to see a new staff re-energize a fan base.

LSU up 23-14

Dumb play by the UW safety to lead with the head. See ya in a couple weeks buddy!

My brother's fiancee is an LSU alum.
Pulling for UW in the first half was fun.
They're about to make it close again.

BTW Polk has a hell of a ground game.

Definately have to give props to Washington and Sark. Win or lose they are putting something together.
Doesn't look like the same team of the past few years.. won't be an easy one for sure.

"Tiger bait. Tiger bait. Tiger bait."

Godd@mn cajuns.

I get flashbacks to that '03 drubbing.

Really good try by UW here. Too bad they couldn't take out LSU, but UW is gonna win a couple games this year at last.

09-06-2009, 02:24 AM
bleh. We gave LSU all they could handle and more. Very impressed with how the team looks. Looks like we finally have a running back to go with Jake Locker, And Defense did not totally collapse.

Everyone thought that LSU would roll us. So its a loss, but I'll take it. If this is the 2nd best team we face all year, I'll take our chances.

After tonight, prognosticators will have UW as their dark horse in the Pac-10 bowl race, and rightfully so. Combine Jake Locker with an actual running game and that your D-line has to lay back and respect.

It was an outstanding effort by the Huskies that proves they have new life under Sark. But of course consistency will be an issue. Will UW tank it against one of Division 1's worst football programs in Idaho next week? Will Polk bring it every game, or will Locker have to throw 45 passes every Saturday night for the Huskies to compete?

09-06-2009, 02:38 AM
As long as they use Polk the right way, I think he will be around...well I hope.

How colossally ****ing terrible a coach must Ty have been?

09-06-2009, 05:23 AM
On a completely unrelated note, I had LSU -12 and that last second TD ruined my night. UW looked real good though

pretty ****ing terrible.

These were the same players basically from last years team.

I'm on record in this forum, predicting big things for Washington with Sark at the helm.

They are going to give some Pac-10 teams fits including ours.
