and not getting the easy 7 points more was nice. It was a classy move. I heard some grumbling to the contrary.

It was an excellent defensive effort.

I guarantee Dennis the Menace would have run it in.

I don't think Stoops was trying to score at all. CMU still had two timeouts left and he thought if he started kneeing it they would use them. So he ran mostly skeleton plays that were working because CMU didn't really care at that point. I'm glad UA didn't score either, Stoops would've been called a real jackass by rival papers.

Turn it around. It has happened a few times to us and we didnt like it. So SHADUP ALREADY!! Take Pete Carroll....did you see that score. It could have been much worse...he was running the ball almost the whole game after going up by 4 TD's. He put in the 4th cheerleader...he used the locker room clean up man. He ...wait...did I see them throw a TD on the 4th down with a minute to go? Yeah..but it was that or let them take it over on downs...so he didnt kick a FG (15 YD line) he decided to go on the 4th down....ooopps the guy caught it and ran for a TD...sometimes even when you try not to do it...it happens. Class act...screw the score.

I am usuallu totally against scoring at the end like that, but I would have liked to see Alex make that 5th FG and get the school record. Im sure the CMU coach and players would have understood. I doubt the media and other fan bases would have, but I could care less what they think.

the grumblings were probably from people that had the U of A minus 13.5

Definately classy of Stoops to let the clock run out on CMU. All in all they fought a solid fight.. but just couldn't get anything going.

I was quite surprised we didn't kneel the ball with what, a minute left and a first down?

I probably would have been a little embarrassed if we had scored on one of those run plays after that.

I know, I know, football is football and the other team should be able to stop a run play etc etc....but still, if we had scored, it woulda felt a little greasy to me.

I was bummed with the decision. The offense deserved that TD. The extra numbers would have looked good, as well.

Stoops needs a direct line to Tom Osborne.

It's not like we would've been like Mississippi running the ball in for a touchdown with 6 seconds left when the score was 38-14. If Memphis couldn't stop them.. then that's their problem. Now, could CMU have stopped us if we tried to score?
