Going to be hard to tell if either of these teams are ligit after the TERRIBLE week the ACC had.

Canes strike first on a botched coverage by FSU. Bowden has never lost an opener on this field/stadium. He might tonight

Well Miami is still pretty fast.

It's early, but Christian Ponder is making some really nice throws.

I think both QB's look pretty good throwing it. Of course Harris has some starts under his belt

FSU is one of the best in the nation.

In the females in student section stat line.

This is the thread where we post pictures of those FSU cowgirls, or whatever they are called, and talk sparingly about the game.

Luolz at the kicker taking an obvious late hit penalty...I feel like something like that is about four times as likely to happen in a Miami-FSU game than an average game.

This is not a vintage FSU defense. Very young.

That ball wasn't catchable.

But according to there DC it's the fastest he has had. I don't think so,

Game is getting interesting though with a lot of special team plays.

I don't know, but I'd hit it.

These teams are fast.

Imagine if either of these teams had a good coaching staff.

I think the Fisher/Andrews combo is pretty solid. It looks like Fisher is at least starting to undo the damage Jeff Bowden did to FSU's offense (and particularly their quarterbacks). The defense will be nasty when it grows up.

This has been a pretty good game. Have to think these two might be the best in the ACC along with VTech.

I wouldn't leave GT out of the mix. They have the #2 running back in the nation. Also, these teams are notorious for looking good in this game and fizzle shortly thereafter.

that was a heck of a 1st week game right there.

I'm glad WE didn't have to play either one of them to start off our year.

FSU just got screwed - the replay should have put a second on the clock.

that missed extra point loomed large after all.

They completed a two point conversion after that, so no, it didn't. What would have helped their cause is if they didn't screw up the personnel change with about :24 left so that the back judge deciding to check for two forms of ID before blowing the whistle on the last play doesn't run the clock out.

What a fun game. Brought back memories of the '90s and early this decade, when these teams had all kinds of skilled, and fast athletes.

That Miami coach seems to have turned the corner, and has his kids believing, and playing with fire and passion.

Great effort from both teams.

Yes. How did the refs miss that?

that missed extra point loomed large after all.

Negative. The two point conversion made up for it...and they never would have gone for two if they hadn't missed the extra point.

Yeah yeah I get that the common line of thought is if they had made it, they never woulda gone for 2. But who knows how the game woulda played out.
*shrug*

Just sayin(obviously), if they had an extra point at that time in the game, they coulda kicked a FG to tie it instead of going for it.

oh and i'm STILL glad we didn't have to face either one of these teams in week 1.

So you think they would have gone for two to go up by eight when it was 30-24 instead of kicking the extra point? It's okay, the commentators forgot that they went for and made a two point conversion, too. :)

The commentators also said something to the effect of "it's not going to make a difference" when they called that pass interference on Miami with 15 seconds left which gave FSU an automatic first down and half the distance to the goal instead of it being 4th down. I have no idea what they were thinking.
