This game is just rich in irony.

For those who don't remember, Mike Canales is the Offensive Coordinator for South Florida, and today they've unleashed their true freshman QB, BJ Daniels on the road against an extremely overrated FSU team.

Daniels is a dual threat QB, who has a great arm and good instincts for when to run up the field... even worse, Canales has designed several set run plays for Daniels, and they have been extremely effective.

It's only fitting that today is the day that Dykes benches his dual threat QB for the QB that resembles Tuitama, a Canales recruit.

**This is in no way an endorsement of Mike Canales, I just think it's an interesting turn of events**

I don't see them being overrated after smashing BYU at home...it's more the case that USF is underrated.

They barely beat Jacksonville State.

And barely lost to Miami in a game that could have gone either way. I would say Jax St is the anomaly in this set.

I guess we'll find out, I'm not really sold on Miami or BYU as being that great either.

Miami is the only team in the rankings to have wins against two Top 25 teams. I never thought BYU was worth the ranking they received.

I don't see Miami garnering #1 votes as I have heard time and again this week, but today should give us a good idea of where they belong.

I know, I just don't think pre-season rankings are very meaningful. Miami has looked good, but I think a top 10 team is wishful thinking. Just like Notre Dame being a BCS bowl contender.

PS- budd1e lee is right, we'll see where they stand later today.

True...although I didn't think they'd get crushed like they did either.

Jacory Harrs and their O line is no joke...it should be a great game, so we'll see.

I agree. They have a great defense.
