This is why the OK St. game has been off the board on all the gambling sites this week. Amazing how Vegas knows EVERYTHING first.

Sounds like it was Primetime. Good thing Hammer could come in and salvage his scraps with Crabtree.

Yep. Apparently he lied about working out with Deion over the summer. Deion is batting 1.000. He took over the recruitment of Noel Devine which turned into a mess, and now is affiliated with Crabtree and Bryant. I bet his son (class of 2012) is going to be an interesting recruitment.

I wonder if they are going to have to forfeit games. Surely an agent or money is involved if he has already been kicked off the team

what makes you think he was kicked off the team?

"Oklahoma State University has already begun the process of applying to the NCAA on his behalf for reinstatement."

This is SOP.

There was a post on the mainboard saying he has been kicked off the team. It doesn't say if it is permanent or not. There is also this gem over there:

"Dez was driving a brand new black Porsche convertible. The paper tags were registered to a Charles Ward. That might have something to do with this whole mess."

This is also posted over there by some Okie Light fans claiming it is from his facebook or friendster or whatever it is called:

This is why I'm suspended.....I went to Deion sanders house ....and the NCAA found out.....they ask me if I been to his house I told them no...I thought it was a violation...but it wasn't... so I told them I went to his house... I lied to them and I shouldn't have....and I'm not suspended for the rest of the season....I'm sorry osu!!

If what he says is true, I think he should be reinstated today. He already sat out last week. I see no reason why he can't hang out with Deion or why the NCAA cares if no money is involved.

No money involved? But it's Dion...

Oklahoma State just issued the following release:

***

STILLWATER ? The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has informed Oklahoma State University that junior wide receiver Dez Bryant will remain suspended for one calendar year. He will be eligible to return to game action in September of 2010.

OSU is appealing the decision to the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee and could learn that committee’s decision as early as next week.
OSU officials will have no further comment on the matter until the appeal process is complete.

I agree...the crime doesn't fit the punishment.

First, Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant nudged his Pro Day workout from March 10 to March 25.

Now, Bryant is moving it back again, to March 30.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the workout will occur in Bryant's hometown of Lufkin, Texas. Per Schefter, Bryant wanted to work out at the Oklahoma State campus, on the afternoon of Sam Bradford's private session. However, Oklahoma State would not agree to that procedure.

So instead Bryant will show his stuff in his home state, the day before the University of Texas Pro Day in Austin.

Many questions have emerged regarding Bryant, a player whom many league observers believe could free fall in -- and possibly out of -- round one. He didn't work out at the Scouting Combine, supposedly due to a hamstring injury.
