A USC recruit already saying he will not fly to LA Monday and enroll into school. I missed the name but didn't look like wright. I think USC will have some recruiting problems this year.

I think it was Prater from Illinois. I don't know if he ever fully closed off his recruitment anyway.

It was Prater and I think he pretty much closed it off if he was enrolling 2 days from now :)

Three observations:

1. Dillon Baxter will win a Heisman Trophy and play in the NFL. The kid is going to be a special college player. Didn't like the diamond stud earrings he wore during the "Player of the Year" ceremony but I really hope Stoops can poach this him from USC.

2. Cole Marcoux will pick up several D1 scholarship offers (currently committed to Dartmouth) and play in the NFL someday. The kid had a laser-arm, reminds me of Aaron Rodgers.

3. Kyle Prater won't make an impact until he learns how to catch the ball with his hands. The only balls he caught today were the ones that hit him in the chest first.

Dillon Baxter basically clowns the entire USC defense on this play. I think two guys may have literally broken their ankles....For those keeping score at home, he went to the L2 move twice, and the R2 move twice.

Man, that was frickin' awesome.

And Mustain, dude, nice tackle. But if they can't tackle you, you better not be tackling them!

Eh..that was terrible defense as well

Who the hell cares? He's an early enrollee true freshman playing against high level players. He made some sick cuts and trashed 3 defenders. That would still be impressive if it happened in HS game.

Highly touted tailback Dillon Baxter can't seem to get up and running at Southern California, by his own admission.
He was suspended for the team's opener for violating team rules, and Baxter admitted he hasn't really given his all since arriving from San Diego's Mission Bay High School in January.
"I've been going through the motions," Baxter said, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Since I've gotten here I haven't given my full effort."
Baxter had only one carry for a 1-yard loss in the Trojans' 32-31 loss to Washington Saturday. After a strong spring, the freshman was expected to contribute significantly at running back and kick returner.
Now, he's become an afterthought in coach Lane Kiffin's schemes.
"I just think I need to work harder," Baxter said, according to the newspaper. "I was being [stubborn]. It seemed like the last couple weeks, especially, my effort lacked."
Kiffin has named Allen Bradford the starter at tailback for this week's game against Stanford. But Baxter had a couple of solid practices this week.
"They were definitely two of my best practices," Baxter said of Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Daily News.
That could lead to more work Saturday, especially since Kiffin said, according to the newspaper: "We'll need to run the ball and run it a lot."

Perhaps its because his team has nothing to play for. He still wanted to play for the program and attend the school after the house caved in so he should suck it up and honor his responsibility.

Tailback Dillon Baxter is no longer part of USC's team, likely ending the Trojans' career of an elite recruit after less than two seasons.

USC head coach Lane Kiffin wouldn't reveal the reasons for Baxter's separation from the 20th-ranked Trojans (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12) on Tuesday, refusing to characterize it as a suspension or a dismissal.
