Man it's gonna take a lot of work to get the field in shape to play on by the home opener. it is messed up on the south end with all that heavy equipment driving around on it. Hope the U has some good grounds people.

Just a guess but I think it's safe to assume that the condition the field is currently in and will be in most of the summer is not a surprise to Byrne. This stuff is all planned out well in advance and you can count on it all being planned for.

Agreed. I haven't seen the field in probably two weeks, but it was a total mess when I did. I'm sure, three months or whenever the first game is, the field will be good enough to play on.

I have no doubt it was planned for, just thinking it's going to take a lot of work to get it in shape.

Toledo vs. Northern Illinois is on ESPNU as a replay of one of the best games in 2011 in case anyone wants a peek. A couple of observations:
- Toledo is well coached.
- We had better be able to tackle in space.
- We have the right defense for their offense, even though it will certainly under-perform in the first game.
- Our OL should be dominant.
- I can see this team scoring over 30pts against us.
- There is no reason why we shouldn't score over 60.

Because he's a better WR than he is a QB. He's going to play WR and unless somebody steps up in Fall camp and really impresses he would also be the back-up QB.

Can't say, it's been 3 months since that post and off of the top of my head I don't remember the exact dates of all the transfers and commitments. Nor what was in my head when I posted it.

Tho over under 12 number on Scott's rushes/game is still good for anyone who wants it.

I don't think we know on Morrison as of yet. We'll know more by mid-August. I could be wrong on that but I dont think I am.
