UCLA's talent cannot be denied. They have some incredible talent coming in. Their front-line is going be scary. Can't believe Howland pulled off that recruiting class. The jury is out as to whether or not he can get that team to play as a unified squad, but they have the potential to be one of the best teams in the country. Still, he most likely has a one-year window with at least two of those guys.

After spending all that time with Reeves Nelson? Next year will be a cake for the returnees.....plus, they really have nothing to shove in anyone's faces whatsoever....they all just need to work hard, and prove that they belong....

Adding Lyons will make the matchup against UCLA more interesting, for sure. Gives us some much-needed athleticism and defense in the backcourt, which we'll need against Anderson and Drew. Shabazz is gonna do his thing and get 15+ (at least), but the frontcourt matchup will still be the decisive aspect of our games with the Bruins. Can our young guys keep the Wears, Donut, and Parker out of the paint? So many interesting matchups to watch, and so much youth on both sides. I think it's ultimately a regular season split.

Actually LD2 was the one whose former coach tried to get to stay... but nice try.
Lyons wanted the PG role because he knows he won't make the NBA as anything else... So as a true me first player, he insisted and coach said no... so he left. Real team player.
