Would anyone mind explaining whats going on right now on the field? It looks like either they are testing irrigation or using puddles to identify low spots on the field but those are just wild ass guesses.

a new to question to mr. mofohefe: on one of the other boards someone is sure the nez is way behind schedule. from your previous post it would seem all is well, if not ahead. since you are on the ground, what is the Truth!!!!!

The biggest crunch so far was being able to get the new turf in place in time for this season, which as you can see is currently taking place. In order to do that the precast seating had to be installed because it had to be set from the inside of the stadium. The original plan & sequence was modified a bit in order to accomplish this but it worked.

I'm not sure how the overall schedule has changed with regards to opening for the 2013 season, but I'm very sure it will be done in time.

Now back to the OT ...

probably just a little shock. it's hot out there I'm sure. they'll keep it wet and it should green up. I expect the whole field will cycle through like that.

Gives new meaning to "watching the grass grow". Am I the only one who can sit there and watch the dude watering the lawn for like minutes at a time? Not to mention the guy with the roller going up and down the field. Crazy.

I'm right there with ya! It's retarded, but I did spend a couple of years on the golf course irrigation crew at La Paloma back in the day and it was all about water water water this time of year. It's somehow soothing to me.

My dad is retired and went to the U of A. He watches this web cam all day. He calls me here and there to talk about the pour, grass, etc. We had an argument about the seats in the South End zone (if they were expanding or not)...pretty classic.
